I've never tried that, I saw this article about Hyaluronic acid based crèmes/gel and giving that a try. Down here in Tx all the women have saddle skin. I keep my face plastered with sunscreen and today I'm going to Walgreens to get a Hy acid based cream for the daytime and keep using the gel at nite. I was so embarrassed this one gal had horrible complexion. Deep furrows in skin, wrinkles, tight drawed face, but, she was thin as a rail too. She didn't smoke, though, so, that was a mercy. Smoking, is the worst for the skin by the way. But, anyway, I was talking to her and I assumed she was around my age and she said in the course of the conversation she was in her 50's !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just figured she could retire soon, but, I tried not to show surprise on my face and said "oh well I didn't know that". Boy, I almost stuck my foot in my mouth that time. I had a few yrs. on her and looked twice as young, course, I'm a chunky monkey too and have some fat on my face LOL
Not fat, but, wear a 'L' in Denim and Co. She's maybe 100 pds. After seeing what this climate done to her I ran back into the house after she left and grabbed my potions LOL
Sharke, curious about what creams you use, I'm a big fan of hyaluronic acid. I used to sell EL night repair..remember, maybe they still make it. My mom used it, it was pricey! I don't have many wrinkles and the ones I have are getting more faint, from the argan oil, LOVE that stuff. Last week a woman told me I looked to be in my fifties, I will be 63 soon, that made my day! My sister lived for years in CA and her face looks it. She is wrinkled, my mom said her face looks like a map..really! Too much sun! Her convertible didn't help. I have always taken good care of my skin, sounds like you do, and it does pay off!

Nikki killed her father? Whoa! I've only been watching Y&R for about a year and still have a lot to learn, I guess!

Maybe Fen should join the "Peace Corps". This way the Baldwin's would get an email or post card from time to time but he wouldn't take up any air time!
I agree ! Maybe he has something to do with Lauren's big announcement. She has that Scotty son too in Canada he must be in his 40's by now.

Think that was before I started watching too. I guess it was a big part of the show back 40 yrs ago when she was a runaway and then became a stripper to survive. Don't know why she killed him guess it was incest incident. Nicki, has pretty well done it all , seen it all.

Just recently started using that Hy acid stuff from the walmart website. If you type in that Hyaluronic acid it brings up Watt's Beauty products. Comes from Tool King not Walmart.
I can't find it anywhere in the stores, thought I saw where Walgreens sold it, but, I was just in there today and couldn't find it . Came home went to the walmart site and ordered the 2 kit in the pump gel. Easier to use then that dropper method. I bought the one 2 oz bottle the first time just to see if I could tolerate it. Wanted to make sure it didn't redden up my skin, or worse, but, I really like it. Evaporates fast and the gel goes a long way. Not heavy or greasy or get in your eyes like that cheap stuff you buy at the stores. LOL Leaves your skin feeling hydrated and smooth. Wish it would come in a bigger bottle. Just use at nite only.
I wanted something for the daytime too, so, I bought a 4 oz. jar of Hy acid in crème form that was only 13.00 think it was with shp. added it was less then 20 but should last longer since it's 4 oz's instead of 2. I'll send the link here in a minute just now ordered it LOL
Best sunscreen is by Shisedo, penetrates fast and no greasy , heavy white mask that makes you look like a ghost. LOL Sephora sells it or can order thru Dillards . I have to order it from Dillards because my local one in Amarillo, Tx doesn't carry it. Bigger towns might, but, Amarillo, is only 200,000 people not like Dallas, etc. We only have a Ulta not a Sephora. When we go back up to Ind. in May I'm hitting the Sephora up there and get 2 boxes of it, so, I won't have to pay shp. It's like 35 a tube, but, lasts me a yr. Just wear it when I'm leaving the house, wear cheap stuff when I'm out in the yard and don't do sun I do my chores before 9 and go back in hiding. also, wear a hat with a brim.
My husband looks old and when I'm with him they assume I'm as old as he is, but, when I go out alone I get sales people calling me 'hun' that I could be their mother hahahha (You didn't hear that from me) I get treated different alone. At the dentist office the tech looked at my chart and looked at me and said "it says here your-- " I said "yeah, that's right" she goes "Really, wow you don't look it" I said "I hope not" hahhahahaha
I've got a Aunt who is 81 and they think she is in her 60's, but, that woman never had to go outside to do work like I did. I mowed yards, helped him cut wood, helped my mother in law pick vegetables, do her yard work, etc. I didn't really give a whole lot of thought to it till I moved down here, then, I got proactive fast. Sure, I wore sunscreen, but, down here I got crazy about it. I'm fighting to hang on !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't drink, don't smoke, try to get a little exercise 3 days a week on the recumbent bike, only eat sweets on weekends, don't like coffee either, clean living hhahahahahah
http://www.vitacost.com/home-health-hyaluronic-acid-moisturizing-cream
the stuff I just ordered, haven't tried it yet, but, cheaper then the gel and 4 oz instead of 2, but, it probably isn't as good. I'm gonna try it and see.

More information on skin care.

Sharke, Thanks for all the great skin info..will check it out! I love skin care and makeup etc. Started selling Estee Lauder in my twenties..Avon..etc lol. Used Laszlo for years and I use Mario Badescu now along with Aubrey organic. It really does pay to take care of our skin, as you see with your own skin! I never smoked, but I did alot of sunbathing in my youth..before we knew how damaging it was! Luckily, I didn't have the time to bask in the sun in my twenties and having kids I wasn't either..that was along time ago, lol! SO grateful now!

Yeah, back before I turned 20 I was built like a brick ---- house and laid on the beach on stomach and exposed my back to the sun (in Ind not Tx. LOL) and now I got what they call seborrheic keratosis on my back. When I first saw them I went to the Dr. thinking I had skin cancer. He said as diplomatically as possible "as we age we get these glorified age spots nothing to worry about I can refer U to a dermatologist, but, insurance won't cover it". Otherwise, lasar treatments. Rick hollered " I'm not paying for nothing nobody is gonna see anyway you won't be wearing sun back dresses, etc." So, I still got 'em, some I got rid of myself by using Dr. Scholl's wart remover. Otherwise, I burned them off.
Don't U shudder when you see women go to the tanning salons and bake themselves like lobsters!!!!!!!!!! I would no more do that then I would jump out of a plane. sheesh!
