Would you be happy with this gift? Help!

Our family decided for the adults to buy a gift for between $20 and $30 for an adult Christmas exchange.  The women are suppose to bring a woman's gift and the men bring a man's gift.  Were going to do some kind of game to exchange them.

We need to buy something not knowing who is going to get it.

Tervis is having a sale today and free shipping.  I'm thinking of getting a coffee mug and lid and a 24 oz. tumbler and lid for each gift.  I'm thinking about getting the saphire mug/tumbler set for the man's gift and the ruby mug/tumbler set for the women.

Would you be happy with this gift if you got it under the circumstances above?   The age range of the adults will be 18 to about 85 years old.

Can you think of anything better?

Thanks a bunch!!!

A gft like that would not make me at all happy, its common and most people have some sort of lidded cup already

Re: Would you be happy with this gift? Help!

@mima- these type things are always so hard to buy gifts for because everyone has different likes and tastes and when one has to buy a gift for an unknown recipient, I find it just about impossible and I don't do well with it. I'm a creative gift giver, but like to know the recipient.

Tervis is a nice product certainly. It would be lost on me because I don't drink coffee and while I have a Tervis (and a Yeti), I don't usually carry beverages around with me.

People will usually suggest wine or Starbuck's gift cards and things like that and all that would be lost on me also.

If you go with the Tervis, I'm sure it will be fine. It's a nice gift and it's the thought that counts.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

I agree. It wouldn't for me and I think those that use esp. the tumblers already have one and are pretty particular about the kind they use.

We have had those exchanges and they are fun. People brought really nice things for the kitchen-olives oils, also beautiful candles, scarves, jewelry (though that can be kind of iffy).

And for men, thats a hard one-I always think unless you know them they are difficult to buy for. If I knew what kind of razor they used " I would get them a supply of blades-those are expensive.

Also how about nice smaller writing pads and sticky notes-

then there's gift cards but those are sometimes never used because people forget about them or don't like the store.

I don't think I'm much help!

I have to agree that I wouldnt care for this. How about a manicure or pedicure gift card for a lady.

I would receive several of these each holiday and would give them away (not as re-gift).

The family member are all in different cities as much as an hour and a half away from me.  I don't know who is getting it, so don't know where they would be going.  Thanks though.

The Tervis tumblers are so much better than most, it would make a great gift.
