Re: Would You Stay In A Hotel Now?

@Pearlee,

According to my trucker daughter, many of the rest areas are closed; no open bathroom facilities, and no parking allowed for truckers either.   Her downtime is planned for truck stops.

Yes, many pitstops/rest areas are closed for the same reason. It’s a real problem for truckers with no where to go!

Oh why did they close pitstops? Talk about "essential!"

They can’t clean them fast enough. Safer to close but a real problem for someone like a trucker driving a long distance that needs to find a place to use the bathroom. I’m sure it will vary with each state but I’m not quite sure how you would find out what is open and what is closed.

Almost all hotels are closed where I live. I just would never take a chance staying somewhere that I did not have total control over how well it had been sanitized. Wiping down surfaces is not enough. You don’t know who was staying there prior to you...and the bedding....don’t even get me started on that. There’s no place like home.😎

Re: Would You Stay In A Hotel Now?

If I had to I might.  I have a hotel I usually stay at.  Super clean, andI check  it might not be any different than going to grocery store, but hotel room may be cleaner. You don't have to interact with anyone.  I could keep social distancing methods in practice.
But, this I what I worry about.  Traveling.  I wouldn't want to use airlines right now, but with few people on board and social distancing and disinfecting between flight, it might be ok.  Not for me though.   Even if I drove to hotel, I would need t interact wit valet

so, I guess if it was emergency I would stay in a trusted hotel.  I would drive if possible, and park my own car.  Bring my food

She is just messing around she has to know by now what is going on. Hope she goes to the grocery store & sees the empty shelves or just go. She will learn real fast this isn't a joke. I think she just likes to argue.
