Re: Woke Up To House Vibrating

We used to be at the Balloon Fiesta each year early in the morning and would see the first ones take off. DH's company was a sponsor so we had a chance to ride in one but no way would I ever go. I was good at epwavung from the ground.

Re: Woke Up To House Vibrating

This past Saturday morning we heard a loud boom that rattled some windows and actually shook the house.  Thought it might have been an earthquake.  Turned out it was a meteor passing by earth and cracked the sound barrier.

Re: Woke Up To House Vibrating

Several years ago the city decided to pave our street, even though maybe 6 cars use it daily. They completely tore it up and gave written notice, along with statement showing how much will be added to our property tax bill --- wow...$$$!

They tore it up & then no sight of them for 2 weeks. A real pain to deal with. Had to park our cars on a cross side street & schlep back & forth with groceries! Took almost 2 months for this. Hope we are gone next time they decide to do this.

Re: Woke Up To House Vibrating

My worst house vibration was back in 2003 when the Space Shuttle flew over my East Texas home before crashing.  I thought the entire home was coming down.

Re: Woke Up To House Vibrating

That stupid machine was at it again today.  My tea kettle was moving across the glass top stove from the shaking.

They than had a roller machine, not smooth  like yesterday, but had big "teeth", after they went over the dirt it had a waffle design.

No idea how long this process will take.

I feel like a martini being shaken, not stirred.
