Don't know but heard you can update to windows 10 for the next 10 days for free after that you may have to pay for an upgrade. Remember when windows 10 came out they tried to upgrade some messed up their computers they had to redo it back to windows 7. I have had windows 10 for awhile no problem but some say it isn't secure, I also have a security so never had a problem. I need keyboard and some new ones have this small keyboards wow good luck with that.everything is smaller unless you are a 5yr old so small keyboards.

She has a Dell computer that is about 4 or 5 years old. She has Windows 7 and whatever Microsoft Word/PowerPoint/etc. was new at the time. When we update to Windows 10, will she have to upgrade Microsoft Word too?
Last month I updated Catalina on a MacBook Pro that we've had for 5 years. I no longer had access to Microsoft Word after I updated, so I had to purchase new software. I was wondering if the same will happen to my mom's Dell computer when we update to Windows 10. I'm planning to help her with that this weekend. Thanks for your help.
No - old MS Word will work fine. In fact even on newer versions of Word you're able to use older versions.

@noodleann you can get a command prompt in Windows10. Hit the Windows+R key and type cmd and go from there. I don't do it often, but it is possible.

As I mentioned on the other thread in electronics I have an old Windows 7 desk top in my basement. I ordered a new computer with Windows 10 yesterday and will receive it in another week or so. For the meanwhile I'll unplug it and just use my MacBook Air until I can get my new one up & running.

The hackers are working overtime to steal anyone
personal financial data. The name of this game is identity theft. I take this stuff very seriously.
