I looked it up.  Watched the trailer.  Try and make money off a movie.  It's another story before the story.  It looks awful.  I would never take my younger kids to see it.

Consumer products have had movie tie-ins almost as long as there has been film.

The criticism about "making money" eludes me completely.  That's pretty much the goal of most for-profit businesses.

It's cooperative marketing,  which is mainstream and widely used.

I have no idea what the movie will be like, but I saw the original stage version years ago and it was wonderful. We only went because my son's girlfriend wanted to see it and I was so glad that I did!

The "Wicked" promo was cutesy at first but as usual the Q has gone overboard and is no longer entertaining (for me).

I've never seen Wicked.  However, I do like the green/black colors alone and together, so I'm drawn to the product tie-ins.  The Lug offering is too pricey for what I know I would use it for, or how much I might use it.

How could anyone fail to understand that ENTIRE POINT of all entertainment.  Movies, TV shows, books, plays, concerts, records etc etc is TO MAKE MONEY.

I saw the Broadway show, really disliked it, good acting, nice costumes, pretty scenery but  music was just fair, story line very difficult to follow. I have never understood the popularity of this show. The movie will not be on my to see list.
