Re: Why so many Yell Talkers

[ Edited ]

I remember when that Sham Wow commercial first aired. That Guy was obnoxious in how he yelled talked . Then the Guy, Eric Theiss ,  with the first  air fryer & copper chef.

Thought , it would only happen in commercials . Now  many News channels , public speakers  , QVC Hosts , among other people who speak in public forums are all Yell Talking

Remember  the calm  voices of both Chet Huntley & David Brinkley .  Wish people could just  deliver information in a clear easily heard tone and tenor .

@rockygems123  I have prepared some of the slow cooker pot roast, some of their pasta dishes.  Sometimes they just give me some new ideas on meals I make with a added twist like the pot roast and BBQ and pasta dishes.

Any particular slow cooker recipe not necessarily from the show that you can recommend?  I'd like to keep the kitchen cooler using a slow cooker but all I can think of is pot roast.  Love it but I'd like to try something else.

I agree about the Kitchen, Sunny and Jeff Mauro try to out yell each other.  Also, Katie Lee's constant moaning with each bite she takes.  I call her Moana Lee.

DH watched Blue Bloods.  Between Danny's yelling fits and the guy that always yells and works for Frank, Sam or Sid, yikes.  Use your inside voice.  If my brother, or anyone, came in my office and yelled at me like Danny does, well, he/they would only do it once. It would not end well for them.

@CrazyKittyLvr2  Moana Lee, love it haha!  And she sometimes sounds tipsy with her accent so makes it even more distinctive so to speak.

@happilyretiredgirl   I figure those small bites might be the only thing she eats the day they tape shows.

I've seen R rated movie love scenes with less moaning.

Re: Why so many Yell Talkers

@rockygems123  I try to use my slow cooker in this heat wave too.  I buy the thick bone in pork chops and cook them on low you can add any spices/seasonings to you liking. I do chicken and dumplings. I buy the ham steaks and cook string beans and potatoes all in the slow cook. We are soup eaters all year long so I do fresh vegetables soup when all the vegetables are in season. I do chili, just cook the meat first if you use ground beef and then add everything to the slow cooker if I decide to use the stew beef I put that in the slow cooker.

As you can tell, I use my slow cooker/crock pot all the time.

I can think of only one ANGRY YELL TALKER in Chief.  I often wonder what he's so angry about all the time.

@CrazyKittyLvr2  Have you ever noticed that Katie Lee on The Kitchen really hardly eat, she does that obnoxious moan almost before the little bite goes in her mouth, she afraid of gaining a pound. That's my observation of her.

@happilyretiredgirl

???   How can you tell what she's afraid of?

If you're eating anything with a camera up close to your face, I'd say the smaller the taste you take, the better.

When someone shoves a forkful of something in their mouth, it never looks good.

Re: Why so many Yell Talkers

I always heard from professional speakers , when you lower your voice people listen better and they retain more.when you yell people get distracted. They tend not to retain the info and focus more on the hair, teeth lips etc of the speaker when they are yelling
