I will not purchase any new masks.
There will be those that will insist masks will be need forever......my prediction is that by this summer most will be over it and getting things back to normal. If people were still buying them with viger, they would not be on sale.

I don’t go anywhere I don’t have to either. I’ve become the posterchild for grocery pickup! Lol
I don’t expect to ever go to a movie theater again or out to a restaurant for a nice meal.
We aren’t doing anything to actually get rid of the virus so it puzzles me that people seem to think it is going away and masks can be tossed soon. I have no intention of stopping any safety measures because I don’t want to get COVID (or anything else!) even though it is predicted I would have a mild case.
People are hearing what they want to hear and that is not a good thing.

Really? Come to Florida. I’ve been back in the office since May.

There's no way to repurpose the cloth ones and I'm rewashing my black ones. I don't want patterns that are limited in their wear.
What makes you think people getting vaccines will mean no need to wear masks? Vaccines so not prevent infection. None of them do. Safety measures, social distancing, avoiding people, and wearing masks do.
Check out what WHO says.

I read somewhere that it is thought that after shots are wide spread that mask wearing will be at a minimum. There is no way to tell the future, though we would all like it.
In any case, everything will be on hold for a time, and we just need to step cautiously and follow the guide lines.

DH and I have received both vaccinations but are not dropping our guard. We will continue to wear masks, and will continue buying them when needed. I believe even after this pandemic is over, we will be wearing masks during flu season.

You might as well buy a good supply of masks--we'll be wearing them all this year, at least.

I think that was the hope a year ago but that changed. The vaccines don’t prevent infection. And, if they did, it would be a very long time before the world got vaccinated.
Experts say vaccinating rich countries first is not helping. There are countries that haven’t seen one vaccination yet.
I’m way more concerned about the new variants that are emerging than the original version. Things are not getting safer.
