Interesting tidbit....my desk calender here at work has it called Easter Monday (C)....by placing the (C) after it that means it's Canadian tradition.

Where I lived there was an Easter Monday Ball; I don't know if they still have it, probably not since now people seem to prefer jeans and pajama bottoms to pretty gowns.

Speaking of Canadian traditions/holiday....I was floored at the 1st job I worked here in the US and found out the day after Christmas (Boxing Day) was NOT a holiday here. O-M-G That would be like no Thanksgiving and Black Friday to an American. :-)

So Boxing Day is big in Canada? We were in the Midlands (England) one year for Boxing Day, and they didn't do it up big at all. I'd been really looking forward to it

It's basically an extra day off to be with family and friends....:-) It amazes me that American's seem to pack up and be done with Christmas in 1 day and back to work the next day. I always save vacation time so I can have it off. The real tradition of boxing day is long gone - a thing of the past where gifts were boxed the day after up to give to workers/servants.

Thanks, that's what I'd heard it was. I always took vacation days at Christmas and after, also. Time needed to recuperate
