Ford, my sense is that it is not a "mistake" to post something personal. But feral posters think that gives them carte blanche to attack.

They have two defenses for uncivil attacks: 1. it is only a BB (I think we are all aware of that) and 2. well, that was personal.

Some of these folks really would like to see the BBs diminished to observations on the weather.

They would also like to see their incivility excused. Sorry, it is what it is....rudeness.

Hi, Showme, thanks for the heads-up but I doubt if I was edited.

People should know...I often edit my own posts just after posting. My vision isn't that good and I refuse to use spell check. I don't remember if I edited this post but it probably was me, just correcting a typo. I remember telling people about this c. 2000 when I joined the BBs.

Folks have been hit on this thread a lot today. So, here's a suggestion for you. If you do edit your own posts, maybe you could post at the bottom of your post you are changing before you resubmit it, that you edited this yourself. That way posters know you weren't hit. I do this all the time now.

Eventually the posts that have been hit are deleted from the thread.

I'm not telling anyone what to do, as it is merely a suggestion so that everyone knows if the poster is doing it or if it's the gang that is doing it. I call it a gang, because am sure it is more than one individual doing it, as they know they would get banned. But eventually they will be found out by the Q.

I do know this.....if any one person sits on a thread and constantly hits the inappropriate, they will eventually get banned. Believe me.....I know this to be fact, because it happened to me way back when......I promised the Q I would never do that again, and believe you me, I stay away from the inappropriate. They only left me back on with everything in tack because of my promise. And don't think that would be done today because of all that goes on.
