Some times you know exactly when NOT to say anything personal around here- it's like vultures sitting with their ""nics"" ready to pounce or show their colors and tear up a completely innocent poster.. tsk tsk tsk.

Ford, the question you need to ask yourself is how badly you want the opinion of complete strangers when you post very personal information. I over-shared a week ago because the topic was very close to my heart but afterwards, I was angry with myself because I know how this board can be and your words can be twisted and many have no issues with cruelty. In fact some of the posts on your now deleted thread were cruel and seemed to be posted just to strike out at another human being. You said nothing to deserve some of the responses you received on that thread.
I think personal information like what color hair you have, clothing likes and dislikes is still personal but not something that can be used against you. Generalized information but questions about your accountant, your bank accounts, what kind of car you drive, I don't answer because I think there are some phishing for info here.
And I agree with the poster who basically said different rules for different people here. Poster A can receive accolades for her personal posts and Poster B gets fried......

I don't believe much of the personal information I read on here. I suspect some are either bragging or lying.

I wonder why people post so much personal information over and over again when it's constantly used against them. Must be gluttons for punishment...

Thanks for your kind words, serenity. You are a very kind person. I have to learn not to post things right after they happen, because it's then that I reveal too much. However, I know that I have to leave this BB eventually because I have made too many enemies. It doesn't matter that I have never been nasty to anyone, there's a certain group that would post nasty things to me and about me if I said I had two weeks to live.
No biggie. I'm glad the thread is gone. Your advice is right on target. Thanks again.

I agree. It's the same few posters who do this.
