I AGREE 100% with ALL of your choices. Your answer is the BEST post on this thread. One thing I would add is that I admire ALL who rescue animals and have facilities for them.

@layla2450  - I also have a deep admiration for all the kind folks who rescue animals and care for them.

@San Antonio Gal Especially when they put all their own money into helping the animals and sacrifice their own comfort and security.

Muhammed Ali. He willingly gave up his boxing career for a principle he believed in.

Politicians are a dime dozen.  Celebrities come and go in popularity.

I love Lucy Worsley--she's so well informed, entertaining, and her humor is such a hoot! Woman Wink Also, my DH and I "bonded" over watching Carl Sagan's series, Cosmos.

I'll have to think on this one.  At the moment, no one comes to mind, then I think, there's probably many.

I admire what Danny Thomas started and daughter Marlo keeps going with it.

I admire the man who is paying (with help) all the mortgages in Tunnel to Towers.

I admire the astronauts who were so brave, as to explore outer space when they did.

I admrie the songwriters of the world, they've given so much in what they do.

So today...so far, that's my list.

My pastor, Col. Robert B. Thieme, Jr.  He went home to be with the Lord in 2009, but his teaching will go on for generations.  He left a legacy of over 11,000 hours of bible teaching on tape (well, now MP3).  I have the privilege of beginning each day listening to the teaching of the Word of God.

Time is just a drop in the bucket compared to eternity. It isn’t how long you live that matters; it is how well you are prepared to die. ~~Colonel Robert B. Thieme, Jr.

I also admire Dean Nicholson of Dunbar, Scotland, who decided to go on a world tour on bike.  Along the way he picked up a kittie, Nala, who has become a worldwide ambassador for animal causes and rights, his website is 1bike1world.

Meet Nala, the globetrotting, life-changing cat - The Big Issue

And Eden Sanctuary in Mallorca, Spain, an animal sanctuary run by Nicole Eden of Great Britain, saving homeless and neglected animals.  She has devoted her life to animal causes:

I love Dean!  I have followed him since he found Nala.  Sad about his grandmother passing.  He has a heart of gold.  I buy his calendar every year, all proceeds go to animal charities and I bought his book.

I also want to make a trip to Furball farms cat sancturary in Minnesoto some day.  Twin sisters opened the sancturary to care for feral kitties, they have approximately 350 cats they take very good care of.

I also have been following him, all his many youtube videos on his worldwide adventures with Nala -

So striking that he felt lost, and the day he found little Nala his whole life changed and now he has purpose.

We also buy his Nala calendars each year, and I also watch his 'shorts' (videos) on facebook every day.  He is also on instagram.

Through him I found Eden Sanctuary and I try to donate what I can each month to Nicole Eden.

It was heartbreaking that Dean lost his Gran, he is lucky to have such a wonderful Mum and family.

This photo of Nala with Dean's Gran always makes me smile:
