Oh, yeah, there's no going back now.  Good for him!

Re: Who else loves Marc Maron?

Nice baiting thread. So how do you feel about his guest using the "n" word? That is the purpose of this thread, no?

Re: Who else loves Marc Maron?

I watch Maron's show on the IFC channel and like it.  He's a unique type of comedian.

I've never seen his (or any) podcast, as I don't even know my way to those.  But the thing that was said, that's probably the subject here Smiley Wink was said in proper context so I'm amazed (but not surprised) that so much negative has been made of it.

No, seriously.  I actually had no idea.  Yes I heard 'someone' used the N-word but I didn't know it was with Maron.  I'm about half way through it and haven't heard it yet.  But as you say. context matters.  I'm not surprised at the reaction.  Especially from people who rely on their taking heads of choice to formulate a reaction.

I'm mainly addressing how Maron will be far more widely know than he was before.

The WTF podcasts are really good.  Easy to find.

If you're referring to me, I don't need any "talking heads" to form my own opinion. And I saw it on the MSN (liberal) homepage, btw.

Re: Who else loves Marc Maron?

Hi Bluecross!  Yeah, his name is a lot more mainstream now.    I had not even heard of him before I happened upon his tv show some 2-3 years ago and started watching.  Some of the podcast stuff is on the tv show, so I wonder if this one will be.

I like that house that he lives in.  It reminds me of the houses when I lived down in LA and, subsequently, up in the Modesto area in the 70s.

Re: Who else loves Marc Maron?

I discovered him on IFC a while back and also have heard him on NPR with terry Gross.

He's smart, quick and a very good interviewer.

I thought it was weird that journalists and others didn't seem to understand their conversation. It was very clear and honest imo or may have hit too close to home.
