Re: Who Moved My Food Dish ? ๐Ÿ˜‚

I feel your pain.  I hate it when supermarkets reorganize.  It takes several visits to reorient to where everything is and it takes at least three times longer to shop.  And I can't think of any grocery store reorganization in my area that resulted in a store layout that was better for the shopper.

@QVCkitty1 I generally feel like an old dog... I do not like change and learning new tricks are not high on my radar.

Regarding change, I normally don't mind it but it depends on what is changing.  Regarding a grocery store, or even a department store, I like to go in and quickly get what I need and get annoyed when things are moved around and it wastes my time.  I eventually learn where everything is or else I go to another store and get an item if I can't find it.

Haven't been inside any store in more than two years, but I am starting to wonder how changed they are.  Self checkout will be new.

I do the curbside pick-up. Takes care of that.

Just when I get comfortable with a grocery store that I can find what I need quickly, they up-end it all and remodel. Takes me twice as long to make a grocery run, so yes, Inhate this type of change.

During the worst of the pandemic our son was doing our shopping.

When we first went back to our Gelson's they had taken over the bank next door and switched everything around. we have been back shopping there for almost a year and I still am lost.

I went shopping for groceries this AM. and I haven't been in a couple of weeks. Well when I walked in I thought what the what, everything changed. I mean they switched everything around. Now it will probably be nice whe I get used to it, but today it made an unpleasant task longer, and I hope I didn't forget anything, because I won't go back for awhile. I have to laugh at myself because I usually resist change initially and then come to like it. However today I was like a Kitty looking for that dish. ๐Ÿ™€ How do you deal with change, major and minor ?

I can certainly empathize with you, a couple years back my favorite grocery store did the same rearranging thing and it was a NIGHTMARE....it was funny because all of us shoppers were helping each other...."have you found where they put the pasta?"...."where is the pet food aisle now?"....."anyone find the soups?".....AND that's how we got through it!

@Spurt , I experienced that also, we were working together.  My list was useless because I arrange my list by aisles. ๐Ÿ™„
