Who Moved My Food Dish ? 😂

I went shopping for groceries this AM. and I haven't been in a couple of weeks. Well when I walked in I thought what the what, everything changed. I mean they switched everything around. Now it will probably be nice whe I get used to it, but today it made an unpleasant task longer, and I hope I didn't forget anything, because I won't go back for awhile. I have to laugh at myself because I usually resist change initially and then come to like it. However today I was like a Kitty looking for that dish. 🙀 How do you deal with change, major and minor ?

@QVCkitty1   Not as easily as I did at one time.

Some change is good but too much change is overwhelming especially if it's change after change after change.

Re: Who Moved My Food Dish ? 😂

I saw so much change when I worked full time that I just go with it and give my energy to other things.  I also shop at Costco and some other stores that move things around constantly.  I would go nuts if I let that bother me and choose to make the decision to deal with it and continue to shop there.  I find accepting change makes my life easier and I continue to learn and adapt.  Not bad for this old girl.

But I totally agree that all that moving around makes shopping a bit of a challenge.  My gripe is that it makes the shopping task longer.

I adapt quickly because I usually have to, not because I want to.

Change in grocery stores is usually meant to keep you in the store longer, finding more things to buy.  I buy only what I need, so as soon as I figure out where my items are, I'm back to in and out as quickly as possible.

I'm fine with change, as long as it doesn't involve me. Woman Very Happy

Re: Who Moved My Food Dish ? 😂

The only person who likes change is a wet baby. I do not adapt to change easily, and it makes me uncomfortable. I purchase furniture to sit in a certain spot and there it stays until I move to another house.

Changing product labels and packaging is probably the most difficult adjustment I have in stores. All the change to computers controlling everything from cars to refrigerators to lighting is especially difficult for me. I would love to go back to the 60's and stock up knowing what has been changed.

I don't like food shopping.  Wish I could snap my fingers and be fully stocked.  I do what I gotta do, I want to be in and out. So I hate when isles are rearranged.

The Target nearest me is a half hour drive so I don't visit every week and was surprised when I stopped in to find it completely changed. Now, the food, pet, cleaning...are located on the far side of the store. It's not as convenient now and a bit of a walk that takes shoppers past clothing displays. My guess is that they're expecting impulse buys. I was tempted.

Our local Stop & Shop was recently refurbished and they chose to do some of the work during store hours.  Many changes.  But, they did give us a nice coupon for our inconvenience: $5 off if you spend $15.
