Re: Who Do I report this too......personal account release of information

Are you sure it is illegal because I don't think it is? You might want to reconsider making a mountain out of a molehill.

You need to research it on their site and elsewhere. What bothers me about "their" policy is what if two people with same last name (i.e.., sisters/brothers) living at same address, using same land line phone. Would they deny one sister from using her credit card if the other sister wasn't current with their account?

Maybe it would be better if you just paid your bills on time, instead of getting irate when you were caught. the credit bureau counts you both as one - when I get my credit report DH's cards and accounts are on it as well as mine - and vice versa for him.

You are so unkind.

It's sad that some people always have to make negative, snarky remarks which are unwarranted. The OP didn't say her payment was late, she said they told him it hadn't posted yet, and she said it was incorrect. That could be someone else's fault or just the way payments flow... I can make a payment to a credit card online on the day it's due, but it may not post until a day or two later. That doesn't make my payment late.

Good you recognize that - so why don't you hit that little "ignore user " button and you won't have to read what I write? I am so tired of the "Oh poor poor you" replies here I could gag.

Would that keep you quiet for a while?

How do you know it's illegal? A friend tried to borrow money from tge retirement account we have through work. We can withdraw or borrow the money we contribute but not the money our employer contributes. Her adult children are benefilciaries, not her husband. She was shocked when they told her that her husband had to give permission. He had to sign and have it notarized a form giving permission for her to withdraw from her own account. It didnt seem legal but it is.

Yes, they would. They deny purchases when any person at an address is not current. In fact, if someone defaults at that address, they "blacklist" the address, permitting no one to order from there.

This is all to reduce fraud and keep costs down.

Federal law automatically makes a spouse the beneficiary of retirement accounts like this. To make anyone else beneficiary requires spousal approval. This is clearly spelled out when one joins such a plan, but like most things, people do not pay careful attention and then act surprised when this happens.

I believe they consider a household as one. Say one person in the household has too many returns and is banned, everyone at that address is banned.

I agree; no where in the OP's post did it indicate she was late in her payment. Sometimes it takes a few days for payments to post. I was making some payments for a medical procedure and pay it online through my bank. Without fail, I always paid them on the 5th of each month and it took until the 25th of longer of each month to go through. Each time I would get a letter in the mail stating they didn't receive their payment. After calling them numerous times, I was told that it can take that long for them to credit my account.

BTW, I agree with your post #14. I'm on the unhappy one's ignore list with many others, I am sure.

Funny thing, she always says she puts me on ignore, but for some reason she still always knows what I'm posting and sometimes responds. If she had me on ignore, she couldn't talk to others about me and what I've posted. You know how it is when you tell untruths... after a while you can't keep track of them! Smile
