Winter - Figure Skating

I wish they would go back to the every four years instead of every two. Seemed much more special and just could not wait for that year to finally arrive.

Artistic (formerly synchronized) swimming! And any other swimming events

I'm a little wistful thinking of the sport I loved in late high school and early college years. I had always loved swimming, but when a synchronized swimming coach moved to our area and joined our pool, I jumped in with both "fins." LOL! I liked being under the water. But she was a hard coach. We had to swim 16 laps before we got to the fun part.

Now they have changed the name of the sport.

Men will be allowed to compete for the first time. The athleticism should be really something. And it will be fun to watch!

Pretty much enjoy everything. I got addicted to watching the curling event last time there was a Winter Olympics. Of course, pairs skating, too. And Skiiing.

For the summer Olympics, I esp. love the equestiran events, but also track and field, swimming, and gymnastics. The games are really inspiring, and usually very informative. Do the Summer Olympics have the Japanese sport of Sumo yet? Having enjoyed the matches on TV for so long I'd love to see how it was covered in an Olympian context. That's an ancient sport as old, or perhaps older than the Olympics, and is connected with ancient Shinto beliefs about nature.
