The only coupons we use are the ones CVS give for dollars off. A lot of $10.00 coupons what they call extra bucks.
I don't stock up on anything and rarely if ever use coupons. Really because we don't eat processed food.

Hi, @SeaMaiden! For me, the question of stocking up depends on how quickly I use an item and the size I bought the last time out. For example, I buy Tide pods at Costco - four bags of I don’t know how many pods. I might forgo a sale on them if I haven’t even used half what I have on hand. I do have limited storage, so my stock up is more strategic LOL!

I pay no attention to coupons. We have been decluttering at our homes. In fact, I just cleaned the pantry here the other day and found several cans of stuff that were several years out of date, so I tossed them.

I don't like to clutter up my inbox so I don't give out my e-mail. If I do get something, I block them or unsubscribe. However, If there is a really good deal going on as I'm grocery shopping, I will buy a couple and stock up.

When my kids were younger I would buy extras of paper products, certain food items. Now that it is just the 2 of us, I no longer feel the need to stockpile items.
If I go to costco, I have a list made and stick to it. I don't feel the need to buy items in large quantity and then wind up throwing them out because they have expired.

I shop the sales with coupons, Also with CVS Extra Care Bucks they are practically paying me to take their stuff

The coupon/discount alone isn't enough to make me buy.
There are a lot of things we stock a one year's supply of. And if I'm at that limit, unless the price of the item coupled with the discount is 'the lowest' I know I can ever get on the item, I will pass. If it is a rock bottom price, and has no or a far out expiration date, I will take advantage.
Mostly I look for these kinds of deals on non perishable items like TP, tissues, health and beauty aids, cleaning products etc.
Couponing just isn't what it once was, and really isn't something I spend any time on anymore.

For me, the better deal is points. I strategically buy and use my points.
I have a Visa Signature Rewards card and an Amazon Chase Visa Rewards card. Both get me points to convert to Amazon purchases.
I have a Costco Visa and I use that just at Costco for gas and Spa Finder gift cards for the salon I use. I take the 2 reward checks and buy more Spa Finder gift cards.

depends on what it is. i usualluy keep a small stock pile of itmes that i use on hand so i don't have to go out or run to the store. i find that doing so save me money in that i never get just one item when i shop. i end up buying more things that i don't need.
