Re: When QVC gives a full refund.....

If you originally paid $65.43, your refund should be $65.43.  If it's lower, your return wasn't processed correctly.

Look at your credit card -- the return could already be pending so you can answer your own question.

It does sound as if they should be paying all expenses, bu, quite frankly, I read your post twice and wasn't quite sure what you meant, so you may also have confused the CS rep dealing with your return.

I checked my cc and nothing is being shown yet. Credits usually take longer to appear. I just used the same cc for dinner and that is already pending but not my QVC credits.

Unfortunately, one of my returns was on 2 easy pays and the 2nd payment is pending. I will check again tomorrow and see if the full credit on my first return comes through and then if both easy pay credits come through on my 2nd return.  I wasn't getting any info about my 2nd return so I thought something went wrong but they both show RETURNED now. I'll have to check back tomorrow on my credit card transactions to see if they all come through.

So far, it seems like no charge for the return postage/ no deduction from my refund although none has been posted yet.

The 1st return shows my full credit on my order status but the 2nd return only shows it's been returned.

I just wanted to know for future reference how they handle return postage on defective items as far as how it is handled.  Now that I have returned a few things, I should know for next time. I rarely return anything and now with losing so much on a return as far as shipping both ways IF I return an item due to my not liking it or not fitting, I am very cautious when purchasing anything.

I only returned these 2 items because they were both defective.

I did receive another item today but don't want to open it until my hubby goes to sleep.....he sees too many brown boxes. I don't believe he knows I returned a few things.  He thinks I'm crazy for all the shopping and now returning items.

I pray it's ok cuz I'm sure if I return too many items as defective, QVC will start to question my returns. I don't return for the fun of it; VPH's items that were defective is not my fault.

Thanks for your response.

Thanks to everyone for your responses....all should work out and now I know how returns are handled these days with their new return policy.

I'll definitely be calling CS if my credits don't go through correctly but unfortunately, credits take a bit longer to post than debits.

Re: When QVC gives a full refund.....

When using the return label...they NEVER charge you the return fee of $6.95 and then credit it later for the defect.

You should NEVER see a charge for the label.

If it is defective/Q error..you should be credited the full amount you were originally charged.  Q pays for the return.

If you return for other reasons, the $6.95 label use fee is deducted from your credit.  Your return credit is less.

It is never an additional charge to your credit account.  You would never see the $6.95 label fee applied to any charge account.

You are very wise to watch your returns carefully!  Mistakes are abundant!!

another thing to watch out for......

if you return an item on your own with your own label and pay for it out of pocket, make sure qvc does NOT take out their pre-printed return label fees. it has happened to me a few times.

It's also happened to me THREE times .... do they just "automaticallay" deduct it?

Aren't the people who process the returns supposed to note whether this is a QVC label ... or something the customer paid for?

Seems a little fishy to me .....

I checked my cc again this morning and the 2nd payment for one of my items that was pending is now a full out charge BUT I'm sure the credits will come through.

I did get emails stating my return has been received and credits were issue. They always state that it can take up to 2 billing cycles to appear.  My new cycle just started so by the time the next bill is ready, the credits should be there.

I will know for next time how this whole return procedure is handled by QVC. Usually when I return on my own due to not fitting or liking (rarely), based on the weight, I send it back on my own if I can figure it will be way less than $6.95.  Clothing usually doesn't weigh as much as a home decor item but I will be sure to check that they don't deduct the prepaid amount of $6.95 if I didn't use that label.

Thanks for everyone's help in this matter!

Credits given and on my credit card.....story over!

Thanks for everyone's help in this matter; I now know how to handle a defective return as well as QVC returns in general.

I'm glad I wasn't charged return or original postage since they were defective. I lost out on the mini gingerbread houses and the finials but I do not want defective items and do not want to chance it again.
