This is just my thought about Black Friday on the Q.
If I were in charge of programming, sales and such. I would have started at midnight with live programming and I would have outstanding sales on everything plus free shipping. Im thinking 40, 50,75% on most things continuing until midnight. Then lesser sale percents the rest of the weekend but still free shipping. All deals would end Sunday at 12:00am.
What are some of your sales ideas?

Bring back "quick takes"
Better training for the hosts
Too much about where to wear stuff
I'd like to see lower prices,but in today's world don't think it is possible
Easier returns
Faster shipping
I'm sure I will think of other stuff.

@Imaoldhippie I won't take responsibilty for decisions when I have never seen the company's contracts with their hosts or their vendors. I do know what might increase sales according to other Forum posters, but what I have no way to know is what the company's costs would be and just as important how great would be the increase of purchases.
My knowledge is limited to what I would do if QVC tried what some Forum members want. I plan to accept an Advanced Delivery already schedlued for early December, but I'm not shopping anywhere this weekend with the possible exception of a supermarket.
Being in charge involves responsibility. I am responsible for my personal bottom line, and that's enough for me to do.

ONE THING: Hire someone to make sure the hosts and models were dressed in the proper size.

Good thoughts. Here's my take:
I agree about the looong presentations.
don't know what "quick take" is
the hosts seem fine to me as far as training
yes, too much about where to wear things.
prices are too high, but that's everywhere
I don't think they want to make returns easier
shipping could be faster, but you know it's not like Amazon
It irks me when someone says something "looks like money."

Real sale prices, not just at holidays but every sale.
Cut waaaaay back on useless chit chat and personal stories.
Hosts need to give all pertinent details about products.
Improve hosts' knowledge of products.
Stop trying to entertain me. It isn't working.
End the smarmy sales techniques.
Q needs to remember it isn't the only place to shop. I always price shop and, 99.9% of the time, I find the same things elsewhere for less money, promo codes, free shipping.

@Another new name Sue: A few years ago( when I rode a dinosaur to work) quick takes were fast presentations of products,usually 2 minutes or so. Leah was especially good w/these. I usually know if I want what is presented and if I can afford it. Don't care about where to wear it or take it or whom to give as a gift.
