Do you do exercises in your home?
How about Yoga?
Do you use a machine as part of your workout?
How much time do you devote a day, or a week, or ???
I'm looking at Yoga. Have to check with my doctors first.
@qualitygal I run short distances (have since my 20’s but ready to give it up), go to the gym 4-5 days a week for walking the indoor track in bad weather and/or yoga & low impact aerobics (geared to old f***ts), & light free weights. I’m used to working out a lot from my gymnastics days and I also eat a lot...healthy, but a lot...more than DH.

......and we’ll never know whose biggest exercise is pulling our legs. Lol 😂

I should have added to my routine. I walk in super cold weather too.
I put on double layers of clothing, wear a muffler scarf, wear a double jacket (ski) and heavy layer sunglasses to protect eyes. I walk every day unless thunderstorming then I wait till weather clears and try to get a walk in

@happycat Don't feel bad. I think it's easy to "write" about exercise but actually doing it a whole lot harder.. Walking is still one of the best exercises for cardiovascular health.
Thank you, @Trinity11. I was about ready to write a big L on my forehead![]()
You are very right, of course. I hope you are doing well.

@qualitygal ... the only exercise I get is me mouthing off or running amuck over something. I'm good at running amuck and pitching one. No one listens, but it's keeping my heart rate up and them amused. LOL

____
*I belong to a gym
*yoga--no!
*I lift weights and have for 25+ years. I do a combination of machines and free weights plus triple set at least two areas of abs
*I work out five days/week (not always, but most weeks).
*I vary my cardio: Ellipital (three different types of machines) and the rowing machine
*about 45 minutes on weights every other day + 45 minutes of cardio. 60 minutes of cardio when I don't lift
*on non-weight lifting days I do 60
*the only class I enjoy is cycling/Spin. I don't like having to fit into a schedule

I joined a gym last year. I never thought I would but I love it! However, I only do classes. I guess I'm a lazy exerciser and need someone pushing me 😬.
I go to the gym three days per week, and take classes for 1.25 hours-1.75 hours per day. I take the following classes: Total Gravity (machine), PowerZone (weightlifting and other resistance training), Pilates, Core Conditioning, and BarreFit. I recently gave up Power Yoga, but want to get back into it--I just can't find the time.
Walking and cardio? Not much, unfortunately. I hate cardio, but know I need to do it.

I do Zumba twice a week. Then on weekends, I walk a lot. I'm working, so it's a little hectic trying to do work and work out..
When I started the Zumba, I quite walking to work. That was a 2 mile hike. At one point I was walkng back and forth 2 miles a day, 5 days a week. I only recently stopped to pick up the Zumba class.

Walking dogs several times a day is cardio - dogs pulling on you is resistance training.
It is all in the jargon...I will be your PR person lol
I think I exercise so I won't feel as bad when I hang with Ben and Jerry. Everything in moderation. I have bad knees - my right knee was operated when I was 26 and repaired my meniscus 3 years ago when I was 54. I'm not a runner, never was an athlete, was never slim. My heart is in excellant shape, had it tested 3 years ago. Heart disease runs in my famiy, Brother and nephew both have it.
So I do what I can with minimal risk taking my klutz factor into consideration. That's all we can do.

Hi QualityGal, I work out at home. I do HIITS for about 25 mins, after my warm up & cool down when I'm finished, then I like to do about 10 mins of pilates stretching. The Pilates feels so good! I like working out at home b/c I like my privacy, pls don't get me wrong, I love to talk to people at the gym, but when it comes to really getting into my w/o, I like to be at home. I don't have anyone to talk to & I feel I stay more focused. Working out not only makes me feel great physically, but it makes me feel great emotionally too, this I love! Whatever kind of work out you do, enjoy it! L <3
