From time to time I think how foolish I must have looked in my navy and white mini dress and crazy-patterned tights. At the time I thought I was chic but now I remember it as a ludicrous outfit. In second place was my olive green crushed velvet bell bottoms and my silver peasant blouse with matching olive green trim. I thought I was a great hîppie wannabe but, in reality, I wasn't.

Paper tent (A-line) mini dresses in the mid sixties. Mine was yellow and white.

Mid-thigh length skirts.  Can't believe I wore them; although, I was young, I'd never wear them at any age today.

Brown maxi-length winter coat.  At 5'2", I must have resembled a tree trunk.

no idea why but it was always the dumb shoes i saved up my babysitting money for weeks to buy.

9th grade i got a pair of platform mules. Could not walk - just inched along. but  they looked cool.

they were Navy suede - worn with super short mini's.  pretty close to the in the pic.. the vamp went up a bit higher

what can i say it was the 70s

When I was in 7th grade, I was the first girl in grammar school to have a Ben Casey blouse.  That was a big deal because alll the girls wanted one.  lol

Back in the 70s...knee high sherpa lined suede boots with my pants tucked into the boots.  My husband and I had to leave a play at the intermission because I was SO HOT!

@DesertGems  I wore window pane fishnet stockings with a navy wool mini skirt. I remember owing both navy and white window panes.

You really have to have long thin legs to pull these off!

ETA: I certainly couldn't pull that look off now! Hahaha!
