What’s your strangest Amazon purchase?

Ok, I'll go first.

About a month ago, I ordered twist ties from Amazon,  100 twist ties.  Just plain old twist ties.

I use them all the time to close bags of shredded paper so I can take it to recycling.

I was down to my last twist tie and desperate times call for desperate measures. LOL, so I ordered them from Amazon.

I think that's my most off the wall purchase. Anyone else?

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

A key type squeezer for a toothpaste tube.  I was tired of mangled toothpaste tubes from my visiting grandkids...When they were able to come for overnights.

Ceramic pie weights.

I didn't know you could buy bags of twist ties. I use a lot of those too.

@happycat - what's a pie weight?

@happycat - here they are!  They came in a really small plastic bag.

Recently? A puzzle lamp. I got it a week ago and I still haven't figured out how to put the shade together. Cost almost nothing. But I tend to think that's because they are outsourcing a highly technically skilled assembly job to the buyer. Inside the box is almost nothing but a large pile of identical plastic strips and some plastic brads. The instructions are mystifying. I can't figure out the order of the strips. I've completely disassembled it twice now.

@sunshine45. I think pie weights are what you fill the crust with to keep it from rising too much when you are prebaking the crust.

My oddest purchase was a box of hand wipes, like they used to give you at the restaurants. My mother always keeps some in her purse and I was buying them for her.

[ Edited ]

Several years ago, my daughter said she wanted a rain hat for Christmas.  As a joke, I gave her the one below.  And yes, I did give her a nice, real, rain hat, too!  Both were ordered on Amazon.  😀

P.S., I also gave her the wiper glasses to go with the hat!

Re: What’s your strangest Amazon purchase?

I buy  a lot of items from Amazon so I'm sure that I've purchased more than my share of strange purchases.

I don't know if I would call this item strange as much as sort of useless but last year I purchased a Bedside Caddy.  It had a flap that was supposed to fit between your mattress and box springs and hold things like a bedside book, cell phone or tissues, etc.   It was such a pain to try and make the bed around this thing that I just ended up donating it.

I also bought a clip on fan that I attached to my treadmill.  That is a purchase that I don't regret.  It really helps to keep me cool as I walk on the treadmill.  I also love that it runs on electricity so I don't have to keep replacing batteries.
