Re: What’s your strangest Amazon purchase?

I laughed when reading  your post ........this past week i looked for twist ties in two different stores and couldn't find them............and just THIS MORNING i said i think i will check Amazon (hadn't as yet but will...haha)

My strangest purchase was prob a stainless steel cover to put atop my teacup to keep things warmer (and during the summer/warmer months to keep any gnats out!)

A lemon holder.  I use lemons daily in my tea, and they are hard to store when cut. This plastic, lemon shaped, holder is just right and I use it every day. 🍋

Okay, I'd like to think that every purchase from Amazon was a good one.

But I did order a SpongeBob SquarePants blanket just because Squidward was smiling.  Very rare.

Portable bidets.  I got a redneck bidet as a gag gift and actually found it useful when I broke several bones in my arm and hand so found them on Amazon for gifts for others in similar situations.

@gidgetgh, they are small round balls that you put in the bottom of an unbaked pie shell, before you bake the shell. I only knew to put foil on the bottom of the pie shell, and put dried beans on top of the foil to bake it.

I didn't know you could buy bags of twist ties. I use a lot of those too.

@happycat - here they are!  They came in a really small plastic bag.

[ Edited ]

@gidgetgh  Faascinating topic.   In the spring of 2018 I looked everywhere for a sewing type tape measure.  CVS, supermarket, etc. didn't have any.  When you don't drive access to things is limited in terms of shopping venues.  This is one of the reasons Amazon, and online shopping in general, is so attractive for so many people.

So, for $1.11 I ordered one from Amazon.  I make sure I always put it back in the same place since I STILL haven't found the one I had originally owned for decades.Smiley Wink

Re: What’s your strangest Amazon purchase?

Ha, ha, this is a good question, @gidgetgh .  I'd say,  "wooden peg dolls, unfinished people, pack of 40".

I thought they'd make interesting "bowl filler",  along the lines of pine cones, or acorns, or sprigs.  They are smooth but "unfinished"--  I love blond wood.

I think "normal" people paint them and use them as little people in their dollhouses....  They are cute!

Those are cute, @Oznell. They make me think of the plain amish dolls.
