Toads, I love toads. I've watched several of them "grow up" and they're happy to let me pet them. Yep, toads.

@scrubbie, I understand that.  I love fall too.  But I can't help but wish that my fall was as long to enjoy as my summer.

eeeeeeeeww, I just couldn't...but we have water out back, and I wonder what toad or frog does the sound that sounds like a large rubber band being plucked?  I grin everytime I hear that.  Sounds cute, but I have to pass.

I love:

The sound of lawnmowers

Hearing the kids outside laughing and playing

Seeing people out and about in their yards

Birds at my feeders

Sitting out on my deck drinking coffee in the morning

Extended daylight

Hanging at the boat dock with friends

Riding our motorcycle

Dining outside at restaurants or sitting on patios having drinks

What I don't like about summer is extreme humidity and sweating.  LOL

I also dislike the fact that my neighbors across the street will be outside having parties everyday of the week, into the night and sometimes wee hours of the morning therefore, we have to have our bedroom windows closed because they are so loud, we cannot sleep.

The hatches of chickadees and wrens from our birdhouses. The baby chippies. Saw the mink on the shoreline carrying a fish to what is probably a little family. Same for the otter.

Falling asleep to the sounds of the spring peeper frogs.
