A big welcome to you @Huge Hannah!  Some of us are also retired, and some with grandchildren.  There are so many nice people here, from all walks of life, different ages, different interests, from all parts of the country.  Many of us love animals.  If you run into someone once in a while who is rude, just figure they had nails for breakfast and ignore.  My DH and I are retired, with two GC.  A boy of 10 and a girl of 5.  We dote on them just a bit!
