What's the first thing that comes to mind when you think of your mom? For me it's how much I miss her, she was my best friend, and she loved me unconditionally.

The first thing that comes to mind is a smile, then sadness that never ended.

@Jordan2  Her beautiful smile, her two dimples and her Irish accent which I did not realize she had - the accent - until I spoke to her for the first time on the telephone and I was amazed that my Mum had an accent!  So missed.

Re: What's The First Thing...

@Jordan2 We must be kindred spirits, my mom WAS my best friend.  She was my protector, biggest critic and also my biggest fan!  Sometimes I would be driving and get so tickled I would pull of the road because I was laughing so hard I was literally crying!    Give my mom a kiss on the cheek God and tell her I love her and it is from me!!!

Unfortunately, any good was eclipsed by the bad. And sadly, there was no movie-like ending in which the mother acknowledges the past. Still, every once in awhile I have a pang of some sort -- love? I don't know.

Re: What's The First Thing...

How much she loved me and my sister and my dad.

She was my biggest fan and I miss her terribly and still grieve for her 10 1/2 years after her death. I miss her so.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?
