What's the first thing that comes to mind when you think of your mom? For me it's how much I miss her, she was my best friend, and she loved me unconditionally.

Kindness.

My Mom is always willing to help people out, walk her neighbors dog,

picks up her friends in town mail from the post office and takes it

to her door, shares her newspaper with a neighbor who can't afford

to buy it.

Right now it's my hands.  They are freckling worse than hers.  She never used sunscreen until about 10 years ago (and hardly enough) and I've been using it for 30 years.  Her hands look younger than mine.

My mom was not only a great mother, but my best friend. We had such fun together, and I miss her every day.🌺

Unfortunately, any good was eclipsed by the bad. And sadly, there was no movie-like ending in which the mother acknowledges the past. Still, every once in awhile I have a pang of some sort -- love? I don't know.

Flowers. My mom had the most beautiful flower garden. She always would bring me fresh-cut flowers from her garden and that always made me smile. I miss her.

How much I miss her and hearing her voice. She is still in some of my dreams and it seems so real.

My instant thought is of her extreme generosity and welcoming embrace of all who came into her sphere.  She preached equality and lived practicing the principle.

I didn't meet her standards.   She compared me unfavorably with other women.
