I do not have an IPAD or Tablet, use our laptops or desk computer.
Refuse to get involved with social media like Facebook, etc.

@Mominohio, Now another way to look at this....if I had one of those multimilllion dollar homes in CA., well, I'd have a pool and a bedroom that opened up so you could walk out to the pool. I'd have a wide open wall of glass. I don't have those modern conveniences here, I'm sure they do there and consider it common out there. LOL
I don't have their movie theaters in my home. That would be cool.
I'd have one of those humongous clothes closets, shoes, purses, jewelry.
Ok I'll quit there. Their modern conveniences and mine vary greatly, when we gonna hear from some of them? ROFLOL.

i dont have a DVR, but i pay a lot of money to my cable company to have lots of on demand features, HULU, and NETFLIX so that i dont miss anything.
have central air, microwave, ice maker, water on the refrigerator door, extra freezers, cell phones, internet, computers, tablets, landline, car, dishwasher, washer/dryer, garbage disposal.....what am i missing?
I do have a DVR. I have cable, cell phone, ipads,a landline, all the appliances, multiple tv's, multiple computers, air conditioning, zone control in 2 rooms upstairs as it was so hot in them with only having one furnace...etc. etc. etc.
I don't have children and both DH and I work. If I want it within reason, I buy it. DH would go without a/c, he'd go with out a landline, he'd go without tv, he'd go without cable, and he'd live in a 3 room house if I'd allow it. He does have to have the internet though. Heck, he's so cheap...half of the time he gets water out instead of a soda as he's so frugal with himself. Not me...if I want the $2.71 iced tea at Panera, I get it. LIfe is TOO short.
I guess since I don't have my dreamcar, yet, a Porsche, I'm living without one thing I really want, LOL, but I guess that's not a modern convenience. It's a luxury want.![]()

I don't have a robot maid or butler, but I would if I could find them.

OK! I can play the reverse game too!!
I'd have an in ground pool (heated), that is indoors, but the 'room' over it can be electrically moved back and have it be outdoors when I wanted it to be. That room covering the pool would be all glass, so I could swim with the snow falling down towards the water in the winter.
I never thought much about it, but a full size movie screen would be great inside my theater room!
And this is gonna sound kind of dumb, because there is nothing 'modern' about it, but I'd have a dish and linen pantry off my kitchen (I guess sometimes they are called butler's pantries). Great, great big, with built in hutches all around three of the walls. I would be able to store and see (easily) all my dish sets, bakeware sets, and kitchen/dining room linens.
Ok, that's it for me for now.......... But I could start thinking about some great walk in closets!

I don't even use my dishwasher.
@Preds - I'll take it! I want another one. And there's only the 2 of us!
You can have it @Mj12! I need the space for my KichenAid Mixer and OptiGrill. Or, hmmm, maybe a wine cooler. ![]()
