OH So if a person is confident then they should just allow the bullies to get away with the krap they hand out -- not in this life!
Where in the world did you read that? That isn't what she said at all @151949. One can be confident and explain their opinion on a matter and if some don't agree that is fine. That is what she said regarding bullying. THEY WILL STATE THEIR BELIEFS AND OPINIONS WITHOUT THE NEED TO DEFEND THEMSELVES AGAINST THOSE WHO WOULD TRY TO BULLY THEM TO CHANGE. However they are open to changing their mind when shown new facts or information they may not have had originally.

@Irshgrl31201, Thank you. It doesn't surprise me that you got what I was saying given your history of intelligent, informative posts. I believe that confidence also includes self awareness, self control, and the ability to find humor in most situations and interactions.

All great answers ladies. We can all use a confidence boost from time to time.
I don't agree with this, you either have it or you don't. If you need a boost then you are not confident in your choices, decisions or actions...

Confidence. IMO it is an intangible quality. Ever see a person who just exudes confidence?
They are not always right. They are not always the best at anything. But they walk and talk as if they are(were). Sometimes inside they may be very unsure of themselves but you'd never know it.
__
To the onlooker, a confident person walks into a room and everyone around them feels that air of confidence. the confident person has a great deal of faith in themselves and doesn't allow others to intimidate or threaten them. does that mean inside they can't feel intimindated? No. Just means you'll never know it.
I have known many confident people in my life. But in truth some have confided that they feel as scared or lost as anyone else. You'd just never know it. Confident people draw others to them. They just seem to be natural leaders. Right or wrong. Doesn't matter. You feel their confidence.
Example. If you ever go hiking in the wilderness and get lost, you want your guide to display that kind of unshakeable confidence that everything will be allright. The guide might really be scared ---less like everyone else, but does not show it. so the others feel confident that everything will be fine. A mom might be scared when their kid is ill and in the hospital but instead shows the kid confidence that all will be fine anf the kid then feels comforted by that.
Lots of ways to exhibit confidence. And I disagree that not standing up to someone who bullies shows confidence. A bully has no confidence and therefore compensates for it by terrorizing others. No one should be on the backend of their cruelness and walk away.

A confident person is:
not needy
low maintenance and doesn't get upset by the naysayers

IMO, confident people don't have to toot their own horns.
