Mainly coupon discounts from Beltone hearing aids, solicitations from DAV and St. Jude, subscription offers from Southern Living and Magnolia.  Almost time for holiday catalogs.

Mostly stuff not needed.  I pay all my bills on line and request no statements or bank statements either.

I do get deliveries from the Q in the mail.

Re: What kind of mail do you get these days?

Just get local grocery ads on Tuesday. I have all my utilities set up online. Since the storms some roofing companies put flyers in the mail box and some landscapers.

Last year when I was at in-patient rehab when I broke both hips my daughter would tell me almost every day "mother, you never have any mail" which I replied yes, let's keep it that way ~ that's what happens when you have no bills. I worked long and strong to get to this point.

Re: What kind of mail do you get these days?

Every day I receive mail wanting donations.

Every day there is some organization seeking money for animals. The pictures of these animals are so sad. I hate it.

Also many are asking donations for Veteran groups.

They keep coming and coming. Unfortunately I can not afford to give and have discovered that if I do donate to one group then my name is given to another group for a donation.

It is an unending circle of sadness and annoyance.

Helping another person is one thing but having to know these organizations are in need of donations, and not being able to give, while "others" get for nothing, is shameful.

Advertising..........political information and ads. My bills are online and I try for automatic payments if offered for utilities.

Re: What kind of mail do you get these days?

Junk mail, Land's End catalogue ( which I love looking at ) Trader Joe's funny, clever, leaflet, and real estate ads for places sold in my neighborhood ( which I also enjoy perusing).

Most all the bills are now paid automatically on line.

We did this because the mail carriers are changed, unpredictably,  and some of our bills were not delivered to us, or we would get others mail.

Some times, they could not find our mail slot in the door and the mail was left on the stoop. When the rains would come, I would have to stay by the window to see them arrive so they would not leave it on the stoop to get wet.
