No snark, I'm just honestly curious, what do you want QV.C to do with the hosts you don't like ?  Fire them, because they annoy you  ?  I can't abide Shawn, Carolyn or Kirsten and save your breath because I don't care if you adore them. However, my solution is I don't watch them, I assume they make Money for the company and that is why they are still there. I mean do you want them to kick Janie out after 35 years ?  Someone is watching and buying , I'm not watching , but I'm buying. So again I ask what do you want QVC to do , just program for you ? I'm going to be sorry I posted this I'm sure, but that's ok, I can take it.

I dont think anyone here, at least not me anyway, wants to see anyone fired....Just like ANY job there's an evaluation process on how one can improve their job performance....and Id like to see a Manager or Show Producer go over some of the viewer comments and give the hosts some tips....thats all I ask....they can at least try some of the suggestions! And QVC may be surprised to also see that sales have increased as well.....And QVC's current financial reports do reflect revenue and sales are down!

I think evaluations should be done by managers and their/company  criteria which is probably based on sales and if they support the company mission and values.

I haven't watched the Q in years except for a couple of minutes here and there.  I don't even know the names of most of them.....only the ones that have been around since I started watching.  There's only one of those original hosts that I don't care for but I don't let him/her bother me and as I said, I rarely watch anyway.

I have often wondered if it's just something for people to talk about because there is so much we can't talk about. Maybe it should be called "pent up energy".  What's wrong with that is..... talking about people negatively can become a habit and a replacement for talking about things that really matter.

When you don't like a salesperson...... talk to the people who hired them....not us.  It has never ever done one bit of good (that I can see) and I don't like to see people called out publically. For every one that hates the actions of a host...someone loves them.....Go Figure!!!

I'm not familiar with Shawn or Kirsten but I, too, cannot stomach CG.   No biggie.  I just don't watch.   I think there are always those who think the world revolves around them and if they don't like something that they can easily avoid, they want to stamp it into oblivion.

I just stick with what I like and others can stick with what they like and it's all good.

But what happens when sales continue to go down and down and then... no more Qurate! I find it interesting to read how other retailers are combating inflation and it's impact on sales "by exploring ALL strategic initiatives".....that's what many of us are asking QVC to do....the definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results and QVC is stuck in that rut

@Spurt   Many complaints that I see are criticiism of a host personally, not in a constructive way.

That's where the Moderators come in and I think they do a good job of taking care of the "unkind comments"......the problem is when people dont let the Mods take care of these and respond to the unkind criticism and then "the race is on"....

Oh, I do get that on the big scale.  If a given host is losing money for the company then, like much of business, it might be time for them to move on and you have to keep it profitable.

I'm just going on where a person here or there complains about a host that they just don't like so they want to  make them disappear.   There are hosts that a lot of people don't like who are very profitable so, clearly, not enough people dislike that host to get rid of them.

Possibly some of the hosts I don't care for make big money for the company.  Good for them.   I don't watch them, but a lot of others do.  Smiley Happy

TBH, I am not even familiar with any of the new or even kind of new hosts.   I mostly just know of the old timers.   JRT is an old timer who I won't watch but she must do fine w/o me.  CG is a sort-of old timer who I also won't watch.   Maybe she's a money-maker too.   A small group of us here probably don't nearly comprise the big picture.

I was also thinking about my thought that probably some of thei practices and shortcomings are more what cause reduction in profits than hosts.

I'd be willing to bet that most people, even if they cannot stand a given host, will still want to see the product and either order online or call in, so I think the products have more power than the hosts.

That said, I think they are falling behind in products as well.  Between their systems and much of the outdated products, that's where I think they should concentrate.

@QVCkitty1 No, they don't have to fire Jane.  I don't want anyone to lose their job because of me.  But I sure would like it if she retired, along with a few others.

@chickenbutt Well that is kind of our culture today, isn't it.  "Agree with me or I will punish you in some way."
