Re: What if O.J. Simpson is innocent?

I always thought  he is innocent. I think his son is the guilty one!  don't forget her friend(forgot her name) was a serious  junkie and drug dealer

I saw that his punch card time was handwritten.  But I assume that if he wasn't there, someone from his job would have verified that

It was OJ's blood but it turns out after further testing that it was mixed with the preservatives used when blood is drawn (and they had drawn blood from him and the detective admitted he had it with him at the crime scene later ratheser than keep it with the other evidence) so how did that happen??  Besides the cut on his hand there were no other wounds or injuries and since it was shown that Ron Goldman had obviously put up a good fight why was OJ's body free of any injuries?

@Pook  Van Atter took the blood sample to the forensics guy who was at the crime scene. This may have been a mistake, but not knowing procedure, I couldn't say.  I think they wanted to get it into the hands of the forensics guy asap so suspicion couldn't be had, but the Jury had it anyway.

Keep in mind that Simpson lay in wait for Nicole and dispatched her very quickly from behind.  I am assuming that he opened the gate and began stabbing Rom immediately. Simpson was tall and had a powerful upper body with a knife.

The space was small, and when one is being stabbed over and over, all poor Ron could do was try to protect his head, just a natural instinct, but he had no chance to attack Simpson and with what, he had no weapon.  Simpson received the cut on his knuckle with the knife.  During trial, there was a simulated video of how the attack occurred in law enforcement's opinion, and it shows clearly how quickly the two were murdered.  google this and you can view it.

It was done by Johnny Cochran, not the prosecution. It was Johnny who said "If the glove don't fit, you must acquit," and OJ played it to the hilt "struggling" to put on gloves that had been soaked in blood previously. There was still a preponderance of evidence, even a bloody fingerprint on the gate that was entirely ignored by the LAPD. The getaway alone when he escaped a meeting with his lawyer should have been introduced as well. The sad thing is an innocent young man's death has been all but ignored here in this. OJ is not even serving time for that, and you can bet that young man fought like hell for his life and was cast aside to lie in a pool of his own blood. And by the way, this trial may have turned into a trial about race by the defense, but it was really about the culture of personality and celebrity. Judge ito was really affected by the celeb aspect of it.

@RainCityWoman

What was very strange to me is how hard Ron and Nicole fought (from pictures of their autopsies) and O.J. only had a cut on his finger.  Otherwise, all the other evidence points to him as the killer.

According to the show, Jason only had a handwritten time card to prove he was on duty at the restaurant.  The timeclock was not broken and every other employee at the restaurant punched in that night, so the investigators wonder why only his timecard was handwritten.  They showed his timecard and it was punched in on every other night he worked that week.  Jason was also huge, built like a linebacker, and 24 years of age.  He was on probation at the time for attacking someone, plus his girlfriend had accused him of attacking her as well.  He was known to carry a knife and was on medication for a psychiatric condition. This is the extent I know of his possible involvement, but the show will be discussing much more tonight (Monday, 1/16) and Tuesday.  No idea if this theory is correct, but it is interesting to speculate.

How did I miss your post, @dawg lover?  I agree that the theory is interesting.

It was Christopher Darden who asked him to try on the glove.

@fortune  They didn't fight, only cuts to the hands, natural defensive wounds.  Ron and Nicole had no weapon, and were taken so by surprise.

If you google simulated murder scene Ron and Nicole by OJ Simpson or some similar wording, you can view the video of what law enforcement believes happened that night.

@mousiegirl

Ron's hands were a mess, according to the pics I saw.  But the main thing is MOTIVE.  His son or a stranger didn't have a motive to brutally kill two people!!!
