I buy Scott toilet paper in the 20 roll package ... they are the same size that they have always been 😊

They haven't had it for awhile, but I used to be able to buy a pkg of 36 rolls of 1100 sheets each of Scott TP from Costco dot com for about $25 or so.  Each roll was wrapped individually in a thin paper wrapper like how they used to sell it when I was a kid  & it was the only TP my mom ever bought.  The pkg looks like this, I think Amazon carries it, too, but it's more expensive:

I love the MEGA sizes ....   even if I have only one package, it feels like I have "plenty" on hand.

I've used the "mega" the "super mega" all of the huge sizes and never needed an "extender" and never changed out my normal sized holder on the wall.  The regular roll holder pops off and pops in no problem.  It's been the same one on the wall for over 40 years.  So I'm not sure why you need an extender?  The rolls aren't longer they just have more on them.  Like I said mine fit fine and I have never changed out the holder or roller.

They say Mega, but I think the center part is larger now.  Not more paper on the holder.

The poster who mentioned how narrow the rolls are becoming is spot on.  I bought a brand that was so narrow, it looked like I had put a roll of adding machine tape on my toilet paper dispenser, LOL.  The roll slid from side to side; it looked like I could almost fit two rolls side by side.  Ridiculous.

I don't like the mega rolls either. They don't fit on my tp holder. I did find regular size rolls at my Dollar General. They have Charmin and all the others.
