@wilma, rest assured, What goes around, comes around. Kind of like a boomarang. It'll smack him too. Does that help? LOL

Love your signature line: "Anything can be fixed with a dog's kiss." I told my DH the other day that maybe what I need is another dog to welcome me home from work to ease my stress and frustration. Our dog passed away in June, and we haven't adopted a new one yet.

Our previous dogs -- brother and sister, Boxer/Dalmatian -- were a financial challenge.  Our boy was diagnosed with diabetes and lost his vision; we made the choice to have new lenses implanted so he could see his sister who had been diagnosed with bladder cancer.

I promised Better-half that I wouldn't actively seek another dog after they passed away and I kept that promise.  It almost killed me, but I kept it.

I was working in a hospital and going to school and doing clinicals in one of the most dismal nursing homes in the city.  I'd see people walking their dogs and I knew I needed one of my own to help me through my gray period.  But there was that promise.

One day I opened the garage door -- had to get to work -- and there was a dog in our driveway, just looking at me.  I immediately invited him to come in for breakfast.

We placed ads, put up posters and checked with local vets.  No registered microchip, no responses from his owners.  We had a dog.

And what a dog he is.  We met in February 2010 and he has been such a gift.

As a psychiatric nurse, I believe I can recommend a four-legged stress reliever.  Self-medicate with a dog.  It's the only thing that will ease your pain.

The frustration on my mind today is UPS.  Let me say at the outset they almost never ring or knock.  That's not a problem for me.  I generally know something is coming, hear the truck, or see the security lights as they pass near them.  With that said....

They were to deliver an amazon order last night...out for delivery, I'd have it by 8 PM.  I thought I'd heard the truck a little after 10, so I took a look.  Nope.  Then I checked online.  They attempted delivery, I might have a notice on my door.  No.  They DIDN'T attempt delivery, there was no notice on my door.  What probably happened is he missed my package or my house or was just running late and wanted to go home on a Friday night.  (Can't blame him for that.)  And the BEST part is...it will be delivered "tomorrow by 8 PM"..."tomorrow" being today, Saturday.  Who knew UPS delivered on Saturday this early in December? *eyeroll*

The reason I know they didn't attempt delivery is because I did receive an order the previous night and the conditions were exactly the same.  At home, living in the same house in the same place.  That delivery was a little after 9, which I don't mind because I'm not hard to get along with. Woman Happy

BUT...a bit of frustration THERE when I went to get the packages (2 very thin ones) and I found they were right in front of the door.  Thinking, "I'm glad they're not big or heavy or I wouldn't be able to open the door."  One of them was a padded envelope.  When I picked it up, one of the three things that were SUPPOSED TO BE in it fell out the opposite end.  The other two things...who knows where they are?  I don't know if he knew the entire end (except maybe 1 inch) of the envelope was open (possibly by just rough handling).  I can't believe it wasn't noticed somewhere along the way before it got to me.  Why do they leave damaged packages and go...like they didn't notice?

That padded envelope was actually supposed to be handed off to the post office, but since UPS was going to be in the area/had another package for me, they brought it.  I wish he'd given it to the PO.  If it was damaged like that, I don't know if they would have accepted it.

So...that's the frustration that comes to mind today.

Between damaged/missed deliveries by UPS and FedEx who can't stay in the driveway but drives off a bit into the grass to save a couple of steps, it honestly makes me not want to order anything from anyone.
