Re: What do you think will happen next?

Interesting, but I see only two posts that are argumentative. You've said your piece, again, so how about leaving it for those who ARE interested.

@Mindy D, I do, though, agree that you should always use a subject line that makes your content obvious. :-)

chickenbutt,

LOL

It appears as if some of the Brits are "just so over the coronavirus" as are some of us in the U.S.

Whatever happened to self-discipline, stoicism, the ability to delay gratification when sacrifice is needed?

@alicedee

Not my idea of a great day at the beach.

More like being at the Mall on a Saturday afternoon.  Only sunburnt.

The only hope for the people crowded onto that beach is that they are outside.  Doesn't mean I'd ever agree to be with them, but we can hope they don't carry disease to their homes!

Looks like a Covid-19 petri dish to me.

Wouldn't go there even if there was no Covid-19.  I like people, but not that much.

I'll take that many dogs, though.

Who in the h*ck is in charge.......over there and everywhere.  ?

Well, all we can do is keep away, keep safe, be careful.

It's 'a sign of the times', so to speak.

'It is what it is', so to speak.

Be careful.

It's just a few countries where the leaders are turning away and letting COVID spread unopposed. No one knows why.

My answer is that some of the beachgoers will spread covid. Are they willing to take the risk? Apparently so.

Re: What do you think will happen next?

When something like this happens I try to look on the bright side.

They are outside.  That seems to make a difference.  They were day trippers and family groups.  They aren't going to pour into bars like cattle packed into filthy, virus-laden pens, ha.  So keep your fingers crossed and hope for the best for them.

I don't know why people think the British are more sensible than us.  They had every bit of the covid panic over there that we had here, and they had the 5G covid conspiracy theory, which led to significant arson, which we didn't.
