What do you think happened?

Was reading a story today about the disappearance of 3 year old Madeline McCann on vacation with her parents in Portugal.

The article was saying they are going to dig up around the hotel they were staying in when the little girl disappeared.

Since she has not been found, what do you think happened to her?

Unfortunately I do believe the child is deceased. Still not entirely convinced that the parents are not involved.

I think she's dead and really hope I'm wrong.

I don't believe the parents had anything to do with her disappearance.

I think she was kidnapped. I don't think the parents had anything to do with it. At first I couldn't understand why they left the kids in the hotel room (even though sleeping) without supervision. I still don't understand that, but it has been said that that is common practice where they come from.

A new report just a week or two ago says there's a new break in the case.

It's now known that a known pedophile had hit that same area and SAME RESORT around the same time, taking other little girls. They're trying to identify him.

What I think is that the local constabulary was incompetent.

They're British. No one I know in Britain would do such a thing. Maybe it's a common practice in their social circle or something, but it's not something that's typically British.

Like Lila I believe she is dead and do not think the parents were involved.

I do not understand the leaving of the children while they went out to eat. Wasn't Madeline 3 and I think she had a younger brother. Here, if you did that, you would most likely get a visit from DHS and get to take parenting classes- Rightfully so.

Here you would be arrested and charged and they should have been charged too. While I don't believe they murdered her, they were responsible for her being kidnapped. Had they stayed in the room she would still be safe and alive.

I seem to recall that they were seated in an outdoor area in a restaurant with a direct view of the front door of their bungalow. Does anyone else recall reading this?
