I go incognito when I shop and also use AdBlocker so I don't get those annoying ads showing what I was looking for when I go to the next site.

It's so common now that I often don't notice, but it especially bothers me when I searched for something on one device and then the ads come up on another, reminding me that it always knows where I am and what I'm looking at. That part is creepy.

So, maybe this is where I got the notion that my personal communications should be private?

DD could not understand why I wanted her to be careful on a business trip about what she emailed or said on the phone. She was incredulous! After all, her blackberry and hotel room were being paid for by the company she worked for. (!)

My students when I taught couldn’t believe their activities on email in the school might be listened to or intercepted! I asked them who they thought might be paying for the email system?

There are a lot of these store houses, the one in Utah is the newest and largest and was planned and built during our last administration.  I am convinced that every single Bit of info on every single one of us is stored at one of these facilities.  You are right IMHO and your DD should at least be aware of the possibility of surveillance and especially from the company she works for..... I'm truly not paranoid, just realistic.... and I'm definitely not naive.   

New news regarding selling homes now.... more and more sellers are buying camaras that can be monitored from their cell phones so they can see and hear prospective buyers and their agents while showing their home!   And from what I've read... no one (except the seller) likes it.

if they want to see me look up the meaning of a word i am fine with it.
