Re: What do you do with yours? Or what did you do with yours?

OP, my suggestion is to buy a "micro shredder. Strip shredders=32 straight lines cut in document. Most crosscut shredders=300 or so shreads per document(can still be reconstructed).Micro shredder=6,000 shreads per document, pretty much "confetti". You can run labels through a shredder, just wrap somthing around it and the sticky will not have total contact with the blades. Me? I shred every document I discard, and some after shreddingI put into a 25lb bag of dirty cat litter. Don't think many would dig through our shreddings!

Thank you for your suggestion. I do have a crosscut shredder, but I did shred a lot and I put into large garbage bags and shook it all round to mix all the paper around. I will have to look into a micro shredder.

I just tear mine into pieces and evenly distribute them in bags that are going out in the trash. A very low-tech technique, for sure, but it seems to be okay.

My workplace has an industrial strength shredder, so sometimes I bring them into work to shred in addition to expired credit cards. That thing will handle anything!

I tear mine up too. Sometimes, I black out the personal info with a black permanent marker/Sharpie

I don't shred mine. I'm big on recycling, but I just put these labels in my regular trash bag that holds all my yucky, messy trash.

This is pretty much what I do, too, right down to putting the used cat litter in the same trash bag as the shredded paper.

Recycle. I cut them into small pieces first.

Tearing them up in different piles, then put into different trash pick-up days. Most security breaches aren't any longer from trash bins. I'm only thinking/guessing.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).
