What do you consider a clearance ?

What percentage should be off the original price before you consider it a clearance item?  I was disappointed in QVC's clearance sale over the weekend.   Some of the prices were 20-30% off of the original price.  When I am shopping in a store, 20-30% is considered a sale.  A clearance item should be more than 50% off the original price.  Very disappointed in the Q's so called clearance.

It has to be more than 50% for me to consider it a clearance. While we're talking sales, I so dislike the buy one and get a second half off or Q's $4 off a second.

It should be at least 50% off if they are using  the word "Clearance".

Re: What do you consider a clearance ?

IMO, clearance should be at LEAST 50% off!  QVC  "Clearance " is a joke! Last week I tuned in and a tunic was only $8.47 off and it was labeled clearance.  HSN clearance is a true clearance IMO.  Comeon QVC, your shoppers are not dumb!

Clearance for me is at least 50% off. And QVC isn't the only one that takes 5%-10% off and calls it a clearance price!

Re: What do you consider a clearance ?

Clearance should be a minimum 50% off. Most stores seem to mark down even more. QVC doesn't know what real sale and clearance prices are.
