Re: What are you doing today?

So now that my lawn tractor is dead, the lawn needs mowing. Grateful that we have a push mower even though it stinks for an acre of lawn. It’s cool today, so it won’t be so bad. Also need to paint primer on the outside of the patio (it was put up last year, but untreated lumber can’t be painted right away). Will be a busy girl. Need to get my “painting shirt” ready to go!

@qualitygal

off topic: congratulations on using the word "only" correctly. Too many people don't. This qualifier should go as close as possible to the word it modifies. Drives me crazy when I see it used wrong, but then I'm a grammarphobic.

Cheers!

It's raining.  Spring & Fall.  Seasons of the rain.  So today, I'm watching only movies I haven't seen before.  I'll work on my crochet.  I'm doing a blanket of 4 stitches that will cover lap and legs if we lose power this winter.

I'm working on a large one for someone unknown.  Hope it will keep someone else warm if they feel cold this winter too.

What are you doing?

@qualitygal  Really boring, mundane day. House cleaning.  I let my housecleaning people go (once a month for heavy cleaning). Asked yesterday for 50% increase....Uh, no! I’m not that feeble...yet...will do it myself and look for someone else when I have time.

The usual "to do's", but in a different order (that's exciting now, isn't it?!).

Grocery run (enjoyable - I love my Wegmans trips).

Nature walk.  Perhaps some interesting news watching.

Have a wonderful day!

@Sweetbay magnolia  I hear Wegmans and mouth waters!! Shopped there when DD lived in VA. They’re building one about 3 miles from my house....Cannot wait!!!

Shouldn't you write "used incorrectly"?

They have everything and are competitively priced.  Of course, you can spend lots on prepared things, but I don't.  Sometimes a fresh bagel for DH on Saturday.

NO SELF CHECKOUTS is a plus.  Yes, said with emphasis.

Their website and app make it a snap to do the grocery list.

application, if you use a smart phone. You can also get your purchase history, and a frequently bought product list, amongst other things.  The list you create will tell you the aisle the item is in.

Re: What are you doing today?

Finally just got cable and internet service to my new place!

New bed and desk being delivered and assembled in about an hour.

Consult for kitchen remodel at 2, then off to a local flooring store for a second quote on replacing the carpet on the stairs and second floor.

I hope to squeeze in a quick trip to Target for a couple of necessary items.

Tomorrow I will be reunited with my furniture, wardrobe, etc after three weeks in storage. Can't wait..
