What about the Wild Animals?

With all these fires in California, the wild animals have no where to go.  I was sitting here thinking about that and it is very sad.  I don't know how they can survive.   Hopefully, the domestic animals are taken with their owners.

@Katcat1

I worry and pray for them along with you.

@Drythe  You are so right.  Maybe with our prayers there will be a miracle and the animals will find a way out to safety.

@Katcat1  My heart immediately considers  the wildlife and how they suffer when these fires occur.  Unfortunately, when we open our hearts, a part of the process is being sensitive to the suffering of all sentient beings.  I respect and share your sadness.

The loss of wildlife is one of the great tragedies of wildland fires.  Somehow, enough seem to survive for the continuation of the species.

@Qcloudy  Thank you for this poignant photo...is this from the recent fires?  My heart bleeds.

Sorry, I should have labeled the pic. Taken from one of the MSN.com slide shows. Yes, it is from the current wildfires in California.

@phoenixbrd  They survived but what about their food?  This breaks my heart.  They are so innocent.

Re: What about the Wild Animals?

They do have somewhere to go.  Their instincts guide them away from the fire areas.  No, there is no guarantee that every one will survive.

Im more worried about the domestic animals that now need homes.  Although I’m in CA, I’m not near the fire danger areas.  My local SPCA accepted about 40 pets from other areas today.
