Oh yes. He or she listed all kinds of uses for peanut butter in a very graphic way. He/she spoke to me about what all he could change if he wanted to in these threads. It was late at night and of course was gone by the morning. If it wasn't a mod, then who was it?

You should have called corporate and took screen-shots of the thread to prove you weren't making it up. That sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen.

I read here much more than I post these days, and it seems to me the "edit family" doesn't discriminate against one certain side.

Well......that is certainly confirmation enough for me. If you think it's equal....then it must mean that the other side is really getting skewered in the edit department.

IMO there is a disguntled poster who is trying to take down the boards.

How would one poster take down all the board?

By reporting everything, hoping the mods will get tired of it and poof the place. Just keep changing nics and keep reporting.

Wouldn't the mods be out of a job then? Also I thought the Q had a rule that if a person kept reporting posts, that person could be banned from the boards.

My account was suspended once, I had a conversation with the mods about why/what, etc. The strange thing was, they told me that a person could get banned for over using the reporting option. This did not apply to me since I have only reported 2 people in my forum life, and they were blatantly foul. Yet, they told me when they re-instated my account, that if I had a problem, I should report it. Seemed odd to me that a person can get banned for overusing the function, yet is encouraged to use it. I see no purpose in using it. If a poster is a trouble maker, it becomes obvious, no need to report them.

Jules...there is a difference between reporting an offensive post.......and reporting a post just because you don't like the poster or what she says.

Sometimes it is a fine line........and sometimes it is very, very obvious. Those people who push the report button when nothing that has been said even comes close to violating standards ....are the ones who should be banned.

Trust me girl, I get it. My account was suspended because some posters took offense and reported me. I had to explain myself to the Q-gods, and I thought it was ridiculous since I was held to a higher standard that what I was witnessing. If they are going to rule with an iron fist it should sweep the table. JMO That is why I think the report button is stupid, because any whiner can hit it over nothing. Some people don't have common sense or good judgment.

I didn't call anyone. I was so surprised that I was stymied. I guess it was my fault because I said in my thread for him to find a reason to poof a thread on peanut butter. That was an open challenge, and he or she rose to the occasion. The other experience I have had, which many of you also have had is a thread that is full of racism, etc. staying up hour after hour, sometimes into days, and no matter how many reports are done on it, the thread still stands. There used to be a poster who loved to post stereotype pictures and cartoons that were just horrendous. It took forever to get those removed. Many people were reporting it. It's just something I can't explain other than the mod wants those to stay up. What other explanation is there?

I don't see how it could be disputed. The edited by tag is right there in black and white. And it happens to many posters. That's why I find the edit family accusation absurd.

Wowza...the things I am missing by not being here late very often anymore. I used to see some of the strangest ...even some evil things posted here very late.
