@Sooner, I think a Music Forum would  be great.

Sooner, would you consider their music, Jazz or the

Blues, Rachael & Vilray they have a few songs on

youtube. They are a odd pairing, but so beautiful

together.  And I also love Rhiannon Giddens music.

@YouGoGirl1 LOL--if I had to pick blues or jazz?  Jazz.  It is whatever category Doris Day would fall into with big band type songs, 40's music, popular, some swing?

Thank for the recommendation!  I enjoyed listening. Woman Very Happy

I love Vince Gill's version of " Let there be Peace on Earth". I listen to it every day...sometimes more than once. I close my eyes, mute the TV....and just listen...as it calms me and restores my goal for the rest of my life...to be a messenger for peace.

Re: What Song Are You Obsessed With Now?

So funny, I'm never obsessed with songs any more.  When I was younger, yes.

But I can drive for hours in silence and not turn on the radio.  And when we had Sirius, I was constantly changing the channel because I wasn't happy with the *playlist*.  It-- and I became annoying.

I sing songs all day long.  Outloud.  I usually get my husband stuck on the song du jour.  But I have no idea what's new and popular on the radio.

When my grandson gets in the car, he must have the radio and he sings along.  But I have no idea what any of the songs are!

@YouGoGirl1 - I love Aaron Neville's song "Tell it Like it is"!  It was in the movie "The Big Easy" and I've loved it ever since.

There are two that have been going around in my brain for the past few days:

Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah"

Hymn:  "Canticle of the Turning"  .....(prophetic ?)

@ALRATIBA - Have you ever heard K.D. Lang sing "Hallelujah"?  Amazing.  There's a video of her singing it live at an event in Canada to honor Leonard Cohen.

DH and I were lucky enough to see her live and she sang it at the end of the show.  Blew everyone away.  You could hear a pin drop as she finished and then the whole crowd was on its feet applauding.

Pentatonix also do a great a capella version.

@Venezia

Yes, I saw/heard her on the PBS special on Leonard Cohen.  That may have been the show you saw live.  Great show!
