@Nonametoday wrote:Had to have DH at an x-ray center for a PET today. We left home at 6 a.m. because he is diabetic and we get to be first for PET scans since they are injected with a substance called radioactive sugar. He had to be diet-free after 6 p.m. last night and npo until the scan was completed save loads of water and no insulin after midnight. So, I was tired staying up monitoring his sugar all night because it does "wonky" things combined with his chemotherapy.
At 6 a.m., when we got into our vehicle it was 72 degrees. We were at the center for a long time. For some reason they had trouble injecting him and we were there quite a while. It was 85 when we left the Center. I had a business appointment so I took him home with a sitter in tow who was going to monitor his sugar, make him some lunch so I could make my appointment.
I kept the sitter and went for my pedicure. A nice 107 degrees at 2:30 p.m. Interestingly, someone had unhooked my garden hoses on all spigots outside when I returned and was going to water. Hmmmm. Somebody trying to tell me we are being monitored. I know they were not uscrewed because I cannot do that due to all my hand surgeries and I watered Monday afternoon. So, someone has been sneaking round my back doors.
@Nonametoday Welcome!🥰 Your post tugged at my heartstrings for SEVERAL reasons!💝 I am SO sorry your dear husband had issues today with his procedure, but glad things eventually worked out!❤ My goodness @ 107 degrees at only 2:30 p.m.!!!😮 I certainly am hoping you get relief SOON from the scorching heat this evening!🤞
Bless your heart!❤ I was initially uncomfortable reading about the theft of your water hoses, because it was QUITE odd that ALL of them would be missing! Hmmm....🤔 Then it dawned on me that perhaps someone WITHOUT hoses decided they would just help themselves to yours because of the heat, instead of PURCHASING their own! ! It certainly seems plausible, but what an inconsiderate human being if it is in fact true!😐 I also thought of neighborhood children possibly wanting to use them for water play.🤔
HOPEFULLY, it was not more serious than something like that, although I COMPLETELY understand how uneasy you must have felt and am SO very sorry your sense of security was affected this way!!🤞🤗❤
THANK you SO much for caring to share your weather and story today!🤗

@Effie54 Welcome!🥰 I can SO relate about not liking HOT weather!❤ I often say I am allergic to it, because I do NOT fare well in extrememly high temperatures! I burn easily, and sometimes get migraine headaches.😐 I am crossing my fingers for some cooler weather to head your way🤞🤞😊
THANK you SO much for caring to share your weather today!🤗

@SandySparkles We have that in common. I too burn easily and just don't do well at all in very hot or humid weather. I thought it was just me who got headaches in the heat. I long for fall with the beauty of the leaves changing in New England. Very refreshing!

@debfau Welcome!🥰 I empathize with you because I have been in Virginia during the summer months and remember how hot, HUMID and long days could be there.❤ The RAIN and cloud cover and a breeze were ALWAYS so welcome!😁
THANK you SO much for caring to share your weather today!🤗

Usually the weather here in VA isn't this hot until late July or August, so we have had an unusual hot spell for several days now.
@debfau Welcome back!!🥰 Oh ok. Hopefully, July and August will prove to be a bit cooler this year since the weather pattern is unusual!🤞😊
THANK you SO much for caring to revisit with this update!🤗

So at one point this afternoon the temp got up to 102 with a heat index of 109; then around 4:15 the first of today's storms came through and now temp is down to 79 and very pleasant outside.
@debfau Welcome back!🥰 Woo hoo! I am SOOOO happy to read of the WELCOME relief from the scorching heat for you and your family!❤😁
Enjoy such a cooler, WELCOME gift from nature!😊
THANK you SO much for caring to revisit and share such a GREAT weather update!🤗

They say wind is our greatest threat. We also have potential for severe thunderstorms...
@meallen616 I have checked several times today and do not see an update from your earlier post, so I want you to know that you are still in my thoughts and prayers of safety for you and your dear family❤, and am HOPING all is well!🤞🙏💝😊

@Effie54 Welcome back!🥰 I wish we did NOT belong to the unfortunate club of heat related headache sufferers.😐 I too, LOVE❤ EVERYTHING about fall weather, and have been to New England when the beautiful melange of colorful foliage in the trees and on the ground was mesmerizing!✨ I enjoy strolling during fall months here in the PNW for the same reason! Nature's BEAUTIFUL❤ gifts comfort us in a most serene way!😁
THANK you SO much for caring to revisit and share how you enjoy weather today!🤗

Today was a beautiful 80 degrees with sunny cloudless skies. I wish it would stay that mild all summer but I know it's going to warm up.

Comfy: about 70 degrees and just moist and sunny enough.

I'm. FREEZING. It's chilly at the Jersey shore right now. We're on the deck and my husband has a sweat shirt on and I'm in a robe. I did a road trip to PA and DE today and it was disgustingly HOT 🔥. Truck thermometer read 100* at one point. When I crossed the bridge to our town thermometer read 74*. Now it feels like it's in the 4Os. I'm getting ready to take a shower in our spa-like shower outside!
@Lucky Charm Welcome!🥰 I am sorry for your UNCOMFORTABLY hot ride today, but am glad you are enjoying much more relaxing and COOLER evening weather on the shore!!❤ I am "jellyous" of your outdoor shower right now!😁
It is currently 59 degrees here in the PNW at 8:53 p.m. with rain expected soon!😊 The morning is going to be QUITE chilly.🥶
THANK you SO much for caring to share your weather today!🤗
