Excerpt
From the amazing characteristics of our spirit bodies to the incredible love and learning that will take place, you ll find encouragement and peace regarding that next step we will all eventually take, which is, in reality, the beginning of a beautiful new phase of life. You will be fascinated with reports from those who have seen the other side of the veil: a being of light who greeted them in the spirit world; a sense of having a perfect, vitalized spirit body; the rapid, graphic review of one s mortal life; meeting with loved ones; communication by thought transference; spirits in radiant white robes; travel at phenomenal speeds; expanded comprehension and memory powers; gorgeous scenery and vegetation; and an all-encompassing, overwhelming light and love. While emphasizing how we must critically examine these accounts, the authors say, We were amazed at the similarities and consistencies between near-death accounts and the doctrines of the restored gospel. God lives and loves each and every one of us, and what is waiting for us is inexpressibly amazing and wonderful.

It does give me great hope, HiLo. I also believe you can have assurance of where you will go when you die but only God can give it to you. You cannot have assurance without faith. I fine it amazing if we think about it, one of the hardest things here on earth is stay positive or focus, some moments we are very strong, and than time passes and we seem to move from that place, this is why things like this is good to pounder so we feel it apart of us, as well as read about these things, knowing there is a better day promise, and coming once the necessary journey here is completed...

It does give me great hope, HiLo. I also believe you can have assurance of where you will go when you die but only God can give it to you. You cannot have assurance without faith. I always try to remember that "faith comes by hearing and hearing from the Word of God". It's not visions that give us peace as we know they can come from another source, but storing the Word in our hearts. I remember how lovingly Jesus answered the thief; never said you have sinned too much or you haven't done enough good works; merely accepted the thief's acknowledgment of his unworthiness and his trust in Jesus for Who He claimed to be; that He was the worthy one. Simple transaction: my sin for His righteousness.

John 5
39 ¶Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
Acts 17
11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

Many thanks for the documentaries and I have read many of them when I lost my dear husband of 45 years, and 2 weeks later also lost my beloved Mother. Those were dual deaths which caused such great pain and grief.
Since their loss I have volunteered and have taken instruction and sat by many who were terminal and in Hospice settings.
They had no relatives to care about them or come and visit them during their last days
Many children just placed them there and left.
So sad, but I used to sit by them while they were still in a conscious state and listen to what they had to say.
Some conversations were absolutely fascinating, especially when heard from the lips of a very old, but young at heart elderly gal of 104. Her stories of what she witnessed in the past were remarkable, and well documented in her mind, as she remained very sharp even though terminal.
I would listen, write letters for them and mail them, call people for them and hold the telephone to their ears, so they could speak with them.
Give them ice chips if allowed, and wash their face and hands, and make sure if they needed anything, it was reported.
I would read their favorite passages from favorite books, and if Christians they really enjoyed hearing their favorite passages from The Bible.
I would comb their hair, smooth their brows, hold their hands and let them know they were care for, and not dying all alone.
During the final moments of life the breathing becomes labored and erratic. It may seem as though the person is holding their breathe, but it is the heart which begins its final journey.
The death rattle may or not be heard, and if it is heard it is not painful to the dying, only to those who hear it, as they may not be familiar with why that is occurring.
Many Christians have sat up and pointed to a specific corner of the ceiling speaking to a deceased loved one.
Many raise their hands in astonishment and their eyes widen in surprise and reverence and they declare .....I see an Angel coming for me, or I see Jesus coming for me, and many also asked do you see an Angel by the foot of my bed?
I have heard of miracles and see a few in my day, but I believe every life and departure from our Earthly realm is a miracle in itself.
We live, we die, we live in the promise from Christ our Savior that if we are born again and believe in him we will enter his Father's Kingdom and reunite with all our dearly departed loved ones.
I also learned the last thing to go before the heart takes the final beat is hearing, so even if a patient in Hospice was unconscious if anyone was nearby they would speak to them because it was reported by many who awoke, that they could hear and recall everything which was said, and they just could not acknowledge or reply.
I was told that many coma patients after many years in coma like Karen Ann Quinlan awoke and Karen said she could hear every word said to her and knew each voice which spoke, but could not acknowledge anything and remained in a state of unresponsiveness....until the day she awoke again to the surprise and delight of her family, and medical staff.
I believe miracles come in many forms, and we have so much still left to learn about life, death, eternal life and God, along with his many wonders.
I also believe the Soul lives on, and ascends.
I do not fear death as I know from promised scripture that if I am born again and accept Jesus Christ again in my life as my Savior I will be reunited with my deceased loved ones in Heaven and know everlasting eternal joy and a very special bond and loving relationship with our Heavenly Father, his Son, The Virgin Mother, all the Heavenly Saints, and God's Angels.
I would reassure many Christian Hospice patients who also believed in eternal everlasting life, when the Earthly door opens and they pass thru it, when they exhale their last earthly breath, they inhale another everlasting life breath, and see their loved ones again in God's Heavenly Kingdom.
"The Lord gives life and loans us to others on Earth, and he also calls us home when our time comes".
In my heart I know not to fear death when it comes, because if graced to grow old death will be a long lost awaited friend, coming to assist me to entering my everlasting journey into God's eternal Heavenly Kingdom .... where life, joy, and love for everything and everyone are met, along with reunions with deceased loved ones, and be blessed to know I have finally come full circle and now will bask in the glory and reverence of God and his Kingdom, while experiencing his promise of everlasting life.

Having seen death first hand, QVC, I can testify that what you posted is right on target for a lot of people; however some Christians just seem to pass over without any of these experiences.
Regardless, I definitely believe these sights are seen by a lot of dying people (who are about to cross over) but unfortunately an uncle had an opposite experience which was indeed scary and agreed with what scripture teaches as well.
Any experience that is of God has to align with scripture; many "miracles" that are supposedly experienced today do not and that's a real problem as we as Christians know there are two sources of miracles. So many people just believe what the world says and don't bother to search the scriptures for themselves.
What an opportunity and great ministry that you were able to work at Hospice, QVC. Having experienced their services firsthand it is a wonderful place to volunteer. God bless you! After I lost my husband ministering in nursing homes helped me to heal, actually benefited me more than them, I believe. We didn't know much about hospices in those days. (My granddaughter is preparing for a singing ministry for the sick and dying.)
I'm so happy when I read comments of people like you, QVC, who have assurance of their salvation through Christ Jesus , sharing their testimonies and am certainly looking forward to meeting all of you some day. ( Isn't it great that no one has deleted this post as of yet, all views are welcome).
