Taking the time to self care. To do what is important to me. I love being outside. I did have a great role model. My dear mother. She passed at 99 years old.

Hi @SandySparkles ! When I saw your post the first thing that came to my mind was, "Accepting the changes happening to my body."
Sometimes it's hard for me to believe I'm not 20 any longer - LOL! ![]()

Aging gracefully is challenging when trying to cope with and accept the many serious medical problems that have popped up in my seventies. All unexpected. I attempt to maintain a sense of humor. Things that help me are: blessing others whenever an opportunity arises, staying active in my singing group, volunteer work.

@SandySparklesGreat topic and some good answers...so glad you are feeling up to posting. You have been missed!
Aging gracefully for me is to continue to strive to be the
best I can be. To treat others as I wish to be treated. To show grace, love & kindness even when it's not
reciprocated.
These are qualities that I strive to emulate
& they have become easier with age. And it helps to never lose one's sense of humor or faith.
@Puggywuggy Welcome!🥰 I am glad you are enjoying the thread!😊 I, too, am thoroughly enjoying each perspective, and cannot imagine my life WITHOUT my faith today!🙏
THANK you SO much for caring to share!🤗

Hmmm, aging gracefully. Well like several others have said, trying to stay healthy. If you're good inside, it shows on the outside. And that goes for physically, emotionally, mentally. Exercise, eat well, surround yourself with positive energy folks and above all, love yourself!
@bmorechick Welcome!🥰 Amen! We must be mindful to LOVE❤️ ourselves FIRST so that we are indeed able to selflessly LOVE and be of service to others!😊
THANK you SO much for caring to share!🤗

For me, aging gracefully means being grateful for surviving into later life; also cultivating the bright side and avoiding becoming self-centered.

To me, it means shedding off old perceptions and expectations of not only yourself, but what others think. Allowing yourself to embrace the wisdom, clarity, and freedom that comes, and is earned with age. I feel confident in my own skin, and proud of what Iv'e accomplished. I look forward to all the blessings ahead of me. Good to see your post, and wishing you all the best! And, I simply adore Helen Mirren and she is so beautiful, inside and out.
