Today on SG show they had a color block sweater - when you check measurements it is huge (e.g. My normal size bust was 60" large). I guess it is oversized but do you order your normal Q size (me large), do you size down - this for me would be maybe small - which I am not. If I order down are the shoulders going to be in the right place? Waited to see if any mention made of sizing -of course not - details given on length which we can easily read on click ons- at end of presentation in a hurried statement host said - order normal size - then was gone. I find this very frustrating how oversized is it? Do we order normal size? Etc. I do wish we could get definitive information when sizing is so different. What do you Ladies do - order reg. size? Size down? Thank you.

Well, one thing I do is I absolutely never, ever look at clothing measurements. I don't take a tape measure out and measure a shirt at Macy's before I buy it, why would I do that anywhere else. Body measurements. That's what I use, I know my real measurements and when in doubt, I go by the biggest part of my body. I never make assumptions about what size I think I should wear. I rarely have any sizing issues with QVC or any other online retailer.

It depends on what it is and how I want to wear it. I also read the reviews to see what others are saying, if there are any. If it's a new item and the measurements seem very far off, I won't order it and will wait for reviews.

Well, for one, because at Macy's you can try a shirt on before you buy it. That's probably why you have no need to measure it.
Body measurements only matter if you have something to compare them to - something like clothing measurements, for example. I know the measurements of the clothes that fit me best and use that to determine which items I want to buy based on their measurements.

I'm at the point where I'm sick of making a second career out of figuring the Q's sizing...I found out this works just as well: I pull up the click here measurements, close my eyes, hope for the best, and...

If it is an oversized fit, you probably would be ok sizing down one size but on me it would depend the sweep measurements. I usually check the garment measurements to be sure. You could also check the reviews on the garment to see what other reviewers are saying as well.

Thanks for replies. I think about sizing down when measurements are so different to normal - as in this sweater's case - but then I wonder if it will be o.k. under arms and shoulders. I think I will have to wait for reviews and then it will probably be sold out. Shame host and vendor do not give more information on the show.

I'm looking at it now and it says it is a relaxed fit so if you have worn relaxed fit before that should help you and usally it means to order in your usual Qvc size although relaxed fit never works for me....too big and nothing for me to size down to.

When it is a boyfriend type sweater I size down. Maybe even 2 or 3 sizes. But I like my clothes to fit. I haven't had any sweaters from the Q but I have from HSN, the DG2 boyfriend sweater.
