@Imaoldhippie   Omg, I LOVE coconut.  I like Mounds better than Almond Joy because they are covered in dark chocolate.

Easter time is a bad time for me because of all the homemade coconut candy eggs.  I can't have them around.

I love coconut so much, I can eat it right from the bag.

@Bonkers1  I still love all the candies from my youth, but I just rarely eat candy now. If I do eat candy it is usually some good dark chocolate. I love Toblerone and eat one triangle maybe every other month.

So funny how much sugar and candy I ate as a kid and now don't even have a craving for it.

Did you love as a kid but can't look at now - mine is Mallo Cup?

Mallo Cups were my absolute favorite candy.  I remember they had a coupon on the little piece of cardboard the candy came package on.  You collected a certain number of coupons (can't remember how many) and stuck them on a piece of scotch tape and sent them to the Boyer company.  In return they sent you more Mallo Cups (can't remember how many).  If they sold them where I live now I know I would still love them.

For the most part, I can eat any candy that I enjoyed as a child.  The only exception is Hershey's chocolate.  I can still eat a small piece now and then but I think it tastes pretty bad compared to other chocolate.

I've tried several of the "high-end" chocolates, and I just don't like them. Smiley Tongue

I suppose it's because we ate mostly Hershey's, Mounds, Almond Joy and Milky Way as kids.

On those rare occasions, when I'm craving chocolate - It's gotta be Hershey's! ♥

@Imaoldhippie   I never liked these candy bars either. Another candy bar that I could not eat was Zero bars.

I ate candy corn as a child but I made myself sick off of this once and I cannot abide this candy now.

No change. Chocolate then. Chocolate now. If it doesn’t have chocolate, it’s not worth the calories.

As a kid I only ate Hershey's milk chocolate with almonds.  That's still what I eat plus some more expensive brands from time to time.  Then and now it has to be warm.  If it wasn't so messy, I'd melt it.
