About 1/2 way through. I'm not enjoying it, and finding it a bit tedious and not well-written--despite all of the book's glowing reviews.OMgosh, I LOVED that book. Have been waiting and waiting for a new one. I have been to his website and maybe I'm crazy, but he's got kind of an ego-he's already got the movie cast, but I guess it's just in his mind because he's had no offers, lol. I don't care, loved that book. Also loved The Paris Architect. Still waiting for something new from that author.
Hi Judaline-I'm so glad you liked it. Reading is SUCH a personal endeavor. It came highly recommended, too, of course. That's why I'm always careful myself to say when someone asks for a recommendation: "Reading is such a personal thing, but I liked this book"
Maybe I'm burnt out on the WWII theme? I've read a lot of novels based on WWII in the past few years.
Thanks for all the great suggestions here, ladies.

Hi,
I know, it IS a personal thing. What's good for the goose isn't always what's good for the gander. That's why I hate to recommend something but sometimes I do just because I've gotten so many good books (and bad!) from this thread that I feel remiss if I don't mention them. I always read the reviews on Amazon first and they have a nifty little gadget that let's you read inside-this way you can also see if you like the writer's style. Happy reading!
